Smooth, sometimes slippery, loves sticking to rocks

I just bought my second set of these. Pros: Smooth, quiet ride, tread wear was even but not premature Cons: From a stop to start acceleration on wet roads sometimes the rear tires spin, gravel trapping by the tires is annoying upon driving at higher speeds on highways and hearing rocks pelt the wheel wells.

Great tires. Pay now or pay later

Now on second year on ford f150 best tire I’ve found to date. Getting ready to purchase a set for our jeep gladiator. Third set I’ve owned first set had 90K on honda pilot. Now at 52K on ford still look new. Great in winter. I know they don’t look like good snow tires. But they are the best

Great Traction

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these a month or so ago to try and Absolutely love them. These have great traction in the rain and on dry pavement. They are super quiet, durable and a all around solid tire. I highly recommend giving these a try.

Nice ride

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered these for my suv and they are a great fit. Nice smooth ride and traction. These are great weather resistant tread and nice fit assures me when driving there will be less to worry about with these solid tires.

Amazing Tires

Comfortable, quiet, and stable. I install tires for a living and this is the most popular tire that my shop sells for large SUVs and pickup trucks. I finally decided to try them for myself and they are the best tires I have ever had on my truck. They have incredible my fuel economy by a little over half a mile per gallon and the comfort it unmatched.

Incredible performance all terrain tires

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in Alabama, a little south of Birmingham and we just had a little bit of a winter storm here a few weeks ago but I was still required to go to work, I say this because if it wasn’t for these incredible tires, I never would’ve attempted to drive anywhere in that weather!! I felt safe driving in the rain and ice and below freezing cold temperatures. The Michelin - Defender® LTX M/S2 tires are not just your run of the mill tires, they are built to last and to keep you and your family safe! The tread is thick and built to withstand whatever conditions you may encounter. I absolutely love these tires and I tell everyone they should get them for themselves if they want dependable and durable tires!!

Great Tires But Rock Slingers

Great Tires, Handled really well when I was plowing snow. Theyre ok in muddy conditions. The only problem is theyre rock slingers. Its constantly throwing rocks and you can hear them from inside the cab when they hit the body. If you go a lot to places where its dirt roads get another pair of tires

Good quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Michelin DEFENDER® LTX M/S 2 from try it sampling. They came right in time for the weather cause my truck was in need of new tires. I feel a lot safer driving around in the rain with these tires. They’re good quality and performance is top tier. I would definitely recommend them.

Great tires but slightly under predecessor

I purchased these tires after 6 years and 30k miles on my Michelin Defender LTX M/S. I was a little leery with the UTQG Traction rating dropping to B from the previous A but with tread life listed similarly and great previous performance, I gave them a shot. I've driven 2,500 miles before posting the review. The M/S2 are fantastic on dry pavement and dissipate water very well. Unfortunately, around 35 F they become noticeably harder and break free much easier on cold or wet pavement compared to the previous M/S. With that, my initial assumption is that they have worse performance but herein lies the paradox. While they don't seem great getting moving and break free easy on acceleration, they seem hold true and stop well once in motion. Snow performance is similar to the aforementioned, but again cornering is fairly steady until acceleration is applied. The truck will still go where it's intended, but with considerably more wheel spin than the previous M/S in 2H. MPG appears to be comparable between the 113T SL M/S and 117T XL M/S2. Both ride quiet and have good feel when braking. They have a good look but not overly aggressive and don't pick up too many rocks. I would 100% recommend these for those who rarely experience snow or cold but would probably stick to swapping these out for Michelin Ice X for the cooler or snow filled months or plan to use full time AWD and the possibility of reduced tread life due to the additional slipping.

Awesome tire

Had these tires replace original Bridgestone Duellers on my 2018 GMC Yukon XL. Great ride, handling and quiet. Original replacement were Toyo Open Country but did not work with my vehicle at all. Tire dealer changed to Michelin after one month and difference was night/day. Definitely worth slight cost premium.
