We have only had the mattress a few days but so far, we have enjoyed restful sleep. The "SF Estate Soft" mattress is actually a "firm" mattress but is very comfortable; not too firm and not too soft. We paired it with an adjustable frame and enjoy the ability to choose a slightly inclined position for the head and foot area. I think we made a good choice for ourselves. Stearns and Foster has been in business many decades and if their mattresses were not superior, I don't think they would still be in business.

I am 62 and bought the Estate Collection Firm Pillow Top mattress with adjustable frame 127 days ago. My old mattress was soft and caused back and hip pain so I opted for the mattress with the firm topper. I am a back and side sleeper. Although the mattress initially felt comfortable and luxurious it started agitating my back and hips and I feel pain within 10 minutes of getting up in the morning that lasts all day. Unfortunately, I cannot return the mattress (trial period expired) and it was a very expensive purchase for me. I'm considering buying a Tempur-Pedic topper to see if that gives my back and hips some relief. I wish I had purchased a mattress with a medium topper instead. The medium one may have given me that hotel level luxury sleep I was striving for.

Bought this mattress from Ashley furniture located in the Woodlands, Tx area. The mattress edge broke down within a few months. We turned the mattress and the other side edge support broke down with in a few months. This mattress is used by an elderly person who weighs about 130lbs so weight and size of the person is not in question. The results of this defective edge has caused her to constantly roll off the edge of the bed. We contacted Ashley Furniture for help, they sent a mattress warranty claim representative to check out the issue. He reported the findings to Stearns and Foster. Your company DENIED any help, leaving an elderly woman at risk of really being hurt each time the defect causes her to roll out of bed.

I must say that it came at the right time. I'm currently recovering from surgery and waited until it was safe enough for me to switch out my old mattress with this one. As soon as I laid down, I knew that would be the first night I got a decent amount of sleep since coming home after my procedure. With my old mattress, I was constantly trying to turn over due to the springs being extremely uncomfortable which wasn't a good idea for someone who was in pain. I love the Fleur de Lis design on the mattress since it's a symbol that represents my home state. I really like how my body "sinks" into the bed especially after a long day BUT I do wonder if it will hold up after some time has passed. This concern could simply be due to the mattresses that I'm use to so I will definitely pay attention to it. If I had to choose a different type from this company, I would go for the Lux Estate Medium because of the added materials which are perfect for people like me who could really use the cooling cover and Tempur-Indulge Memory Foam. For the price, I would've never been able to purchase it myself, but I would certainly recommend it to people who can afford it. We were in need of a new mattress (ours was 18 years old) and in very bad condition. After doing some research, we decided on a Firm, pillow top. We've had it for 2 months, and already the mattress is sagging. We decided to go with a Sterns and Foster because of the reviews and it seemed like the Top of the Line product. $3,000 + and we are sorely disappointed. I'm happy there was a 120 day guarantee with it, we will go back to the store and select a different mattress. It took 10 years for our old mattress to start failing, this took 2 months. It started out really good, we slept better, felt supported, now we feel like we're on a hill toward the center. We will not choose the mattress without the pillow top for fear it will do the same thing. We will chooses a different brand, Sadly.

I am a small-framed woman who sleeps on back and side. For the first week, I was worried that I had made a mistake, because I woke up sore. But after this break-in period, the mattress has been a dream. Soft-feeling (but not mushy), supportive, and not hot. My husband is a power lifter (bulky but not heavy) and he also raves about it how comfortable it is.

We purchased a King size S&F Estate pillowtop soft with box springs about 1 yr ago. I read where SF Box Spring were extra beefy and supportive. The box springs are horrible, slapped together, some fabric not stapled. Our first set of box springs were so defective SF replaced. The mattress store sold us twin XL box springs for a king mattress. The Box springs always seem to be shifting and not sturdy enough for the mattress creating a moving noise when you turnover. Im reading now that we should have a one piece box spring, not twins. I hate calling the mattress store again after the first complaint they are not very friendly.

I started off with a Bed Tech copper lux soft mattress. We had a cold winter and my bedroom became cold. The Bed Tech mattress turned hard as a brick. I was miserable. I then tried a medium firmness Tempur-Pedic supreme overlay for the Bed Tech mattress. I I was miserable because it was too firm. I then tried an Adapt Tempur-Pedic overlay for the mattress. That was not comfortable either. I then went with a Saatva overlay for the mattress. That did not work and was not soft enough. Saatva then told me to order a feather overlay for the Saatva overlay mattress. I was sent two and both of them were contaminated with horrible odors that I could not use. I was so uncomfortable that I decided to get rid of everything and start all over again. I went with a full Estate soft pillow top. I love it. At first it was somewhat firmer than I liked but I have had it now for about 40 days and it is getting very soft and comfortable. I am now comfortable and am looking forward to going to bed rather than dreading it. It was expensive and a big financial burden but it is worth a good nights sleep.
