Replaced original equipment tirres on our Subaru Outback. These tires were recommended by our service people and I think they gave us good information. They seem to ride smoother and quieter than original tires and if the expected treadwear is as we were informed we will be extremely happy with them. I feel that they are a great tire for the price.

- 1 out of 5 stars review2/20/2026Had to replace 2 of my T&H tires on a 2015 Sienna FWD. Traction off the line especially if wet is terrible. Because they put them on the back for h first few months it was too late to take back. Traction on these is worse than my fairly worn older tires. Who cares about how long they last if they don’t work well enough to grip. Tried to see what they would do about it and same answer of take it back to where you bought them. Don’t plan to use Michelin anymore.
Won’t buy again, don’t trust them to grip when needed.

The most notable improvement is a front end road noise reduction; the tires also provided admirable traction after a recent snowstorm. Some improvement in gas mileage was anticipated but that hasn't been noticed. Overall we're satisfied with our Defender 2 tires (but, hey, what new tires aren't an improvement over aged, worn tires?).

The traction and grip on these Michelin Defender2 tires are excellent! I would definitely recommend the Defender2 to others looking for a great set of all season tires.

They seem to ride nicely as well and look much meatier too. I’m sure I’ll be kicking myself for not paying the extra price for Michelins years ago.

They usually Crack on the sides before they ever wear out . They are awesome . They are so smooth it's like riding on a cloud . Just put a set on my Chevy Silverado . Simply the best highway tire available.

Recently we had a significant snow fall and we had to make a sudden stop due on the freeway. I was thankful that we had the Michelin Defender 2's. We stopped on a dime without any slippage. I can't comment on wear and durability because I haven't had them long enough but from other reviews that I've read from many sources, these were the "BEST" Recommended tire for my vehicle (Subaru Ascent). I replaced the tires on my 2021 Honda CRV which only had 28,000 miles and what a difference it made. The ride is smoother, quieter and my car seems to even handle better. I would highly recommend Michelin no matter what series you’ll be getting the best tire even though they are a little pricey you’ll be getting your moneys worth.

I have tried other popular and "best-selling" tires in my secondary cars but never achieved the satisfaction with wear, overall handling and traction as I did with the Michelin tires. I hated the way my car sounded when I drove. Coming from a Cadillac CTS, the Edge has loud road noise. I needed new tires and spent the extra money and got the Michelins. Totally changed the ride of the car!!! So smooth and quieter. Feels like a new car! You will not be disappointed!
