These are used in instructional classes for shooting and work wonderfully. You are able to hear conversation and not gun shots. I like them for shooting metallic targets as you easily hear the "ding" after the shot is muted. Have bought and additional pair for student.

Just ok, got these for my husband for chainsaw work. Although the work ear plugs keep the sound out better. Said they are comfortable.

Pretty awesome the way they work. You can hold a conversation with someone then swing a hammer and the high pitched sounds are drowned out.
