I went through customer service and they determined I had a bad board. Now I'm waiting for a refund because the tv was only 8 months old.

The sound keeps going out completely. Then I have to turn it off, unplug everything, find a very hidden small black button on the back. Wait a few minutes then put everything back on again. This has happened 3 times in the last week or so. I wish I hadn't purchased it, but always thought Philips was a good brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Im glad u reached out to me. I love the TV set and it had a wonderful picture. It's user friendly to maneuver thru the menu. For some reason it started going black but still has sound. You can use the manual reset button on the back and it'll come back on. It may stay on for days without hick-up and it may not stay on 2min before going back dark. It may happen 3-4 times today and then again it may not happen for a week. My trouble is that I paid cash for the unit like I do with most everything I purchase. I had the receipt taped to the box and put it in our storage building. My counterpart decided to make some room and go tbru the shed while I was a work. She saw no need to keep an empty tv box and threw it away. Is there anything I can do? Can you somehow run the serial# and see when I purchased it to confirm it's still under warranty? It's not but a couple months old at the latest. I registered it the day I bought it. I unfortunately didn't see where it asked for the receipt or I'd have added it to my registration. Please contact me and let me know what can be done? I can't keep trying to use it like it is and it's a brand new unit. Is this a problem that is frequent with this set? I can assure you 1 thing…..if Phillips can't make good on this new tv then I can't afford to put Phillips products in my home. Thank you and I'm awaiting to see your response with this matter.
