It's subtle and not anything like the "sea side" smells that come to my mind from potpurri, candles, lotion, etc. It's truly light and just smells fresh. I like it better than the other scents, which surprised me. It's not overwhelming at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like Downy Unstopable scent beads in the wash and the light ocean mist is my favorite scent that I've tried.They make my laundry smell fresh and clean longer than just using my normal detergent alone. I was nervous about using the waxy beads in my washer but they did dissolve completely and left no residue.

These are the BEST for sheets, bedding, and towels! The light and airy scent provides a fresh feeling when you smell it. Using these on my bedding makes my whole room smell amazing!! I do not use much per load, which allows the bottle to last a long time. I prefer the Downy scent beads to other brands- I find that these do not leave any residue or spots on laundry, unlike others I've used in the past. When using, I add my scent free detergent, add the scent beads to the water, then fill up the washer with my laundry. These are the best!

I loved that it had a very noticeable but not too heavy scent that lasted much longer than what I had been using. It was a single free sample which I divided up until about three different loads and I didn't even use the recommended amount because I wanted to make it last and it still had a very thorough and long-lasting fresh scent. I will definitely purchase this because using a little went a lot further than using a lot of the other stuff.
