I review a lot of beauty products for my blog, which include many moisturizers. This is by far the best drugstore moisturizer I have used, and to be honest many of my blog reviews do not favor most of the moisturizers I've had the opportunity to try. In fact, this is even better than most high-end brands for less than half the cost. Neutrogena is one of the few drugstore brands I can use because of my very sensitive skin. This moisturizer has a high-end feel that leaves my skin so soft and moisturized without a greasy feeling. As soon as I put it on, my skin feels soothed. It did have slight impact on my skin, so it didn't peel, but still had a rough texture. Would probably work great on someone with less dry skin. The jelly-like, water consistency feels incredibly refreshing on my face, making it perfect for hot days or after a workout. It glides on smoothly and absorbs almost instantly, leaving my skin feeling soft and hydrated without any greasy residue. I've been using it on my skin after my regular skin care routine and my skin so incredibly soft after using it. I have also been applying it to my son's face and arms. He has keratosis pilaris and it leaves his skin extremely dry. Since using this water gel his skin has become softer. He loves to put it on after his bath. It smells light and soft and the texture is the best consistency. I love that a little bit goes a long way. Lightweight and not oily at all. Perfect for those with oily or combination skin. I haven’t seen any new acne flares since I started using the product. My expectations were met, especially considering I used several YouTube reviews as points of reference.

My only issue with it is it tends to feel a little heavy and greasy for a while before it absorbs. A little annoying, but I would probably add this to my rotation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m currently using retinol, and I found this to burn my skin slightly. However, the sensation was nice and cooling. If I was not using retinol, I think I would really like this. It’s definitely light and good for summer.

My skin is very sensitive and so is my nose. Most scents cause allergy-like symptoms, watery eyes, runny nose, itchy, or sore skin. I hesitated to buy this product, fearing more of the same, but I do trust Neutrogena. So glad I tried it. My skin is soft and smooth, the scent is light and pleasing, and no part of my body reacted badly to it. We have a winner! I moved from a moist climate to desert and my skin was not pleased. This is a game-changer. Thank you for such a great product!

The Neutrogena #HydroBoost Water Gel has a nice smooth consistency. It felt light on my skin and light as soon as I put it on. There was no heavy feeling like with many moisturizing creams. I found it was especially good for the few spots I have that get extra dry in the winter and I was able to layer it with my normal tinted BB cream for an extra #HydroBoost without feeling like my skin is weighed down by thick creams.
