I wish it was un-scented, though it did not bother my skin. Overall, I will keep using this and would recommend it.

The gel absorbed completely into my face and neck. It didn’t really have much of a smell at all. I even tried putting a little in the fridge and used it one morning and it was so refreshing!! I really likes this gel and will be purchasing again!

Perfectly light for daytime use under makeup but nourishing enough for nighttime use under creams and serums. My skin can be sensitive and this plumps and moisturizes it without irritation. It smells fresh but the scent is not overpowering. This is a staple in my skin care routine. I also love that it's pregnancy and breastfeeding safe as I have been able to continue to use it throughout my prenatal and postpartum journey. I also find that it's a product that you can use all year long - to quench summer skin and winter skin.

You don’t have to use much of it at all. When you first apply it feels very cool and as it drys it makes your face feel very refreshed. After just one use I could feel my face more smooth and hydrated. My favorite part is it’s dye and fragrance free! The glass jar is recyclable.

To be honest, I do not have much of a skin care regimen. Most of the moisturizing creams that I have used in the past did not leave my face feeling nearly as hydrated as this Neutrogena product ! I used it everyday and have noticed such a great difference in the overall feel and appearance of my skin. I will be purchasing this as soon as I run out!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using this Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel cream for a week, I can say that it did hydrate my skin when I was not using acne treatments like salicylic acid and benzyl peroxide. However, I believe it was comparable to the hyaluronic acid serum I have used in the past in terms of the amount of hydration it provided without the need for additional products. In other words, it did not really make my skin feel incredibly hydrated by itself, but it did better when combined with other hydrating products like a niacinamide serum or snail mucin. Because it is thicker and provides an additional layer of moisture when combined with my moisturizer, I believe this is a good addition to my skin care routine as an alternative to the hyaluronic acid serum I currently use. All things considered, I would suggest it to those who, unlike me, do not use many drying products in their daily routine. It did, however, have some cons, like it made my skin burn when I used it because my skin isn't the best.

I've used lighter gel moisturizers for years, with some hits and some misses. For me, Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel was a miss. The moisturizer didn't seem to absorb well enough into my skin to hydrate, so I was left with a dry face. I switched back to my normal moisturizer.
