Pet friendly?

Worked as intended, but a little concerned about the pet friendly line. I bought this cause my cat sometimes sneaks behind us and darts outside. I put this out quickly as we were in snow storm and didn’t read until after that this should not touch bare skin or make oral contact. Well if my cat got this on his feet it would be touching bare skin and when he groomed himself it would get in his mouth. So that’s more than concerning! I read reviews that said dog’s feet were burned by this product. We also have wildlife and I wouldn’t want to hurt them. Because of all that I would not buy this product again.

Great Product--$9.98 when I purchased Jan 19, 2019

I only paid $9.98 for this at Walmart yesterday, so not sure why it's showing $31? Anyway, used it this morning after shoveling about 3 inches of snow with a thin layer of ice on it. It melted the remainder very quickly, and I was then able to shovel away the slush and put this product down again. All steps and pathways in my yard are completely clear. Great product (I just hope they correct the price!)

Did not ring up at register at price as advertised on shelf, in fact it was a higher price. Very disappointed in price, quantity and quality. Regular salt for snow is cheaper in price and better than this product at other stores. Very, very disappointed. Have to be very, very careful when shopping at Walmart because prices have rung up for me higher than advertised on shelves for months now, and now I am being more cautious when shopping there.

this product worked pretty quick for me but I'm not sure how pet friendly it really is. my dogs were outside with me when I put it down and they started whining really bad and they were trying to get off their paws. I had to rush them inside the house.

Warning do not buy-destroys concrete!!

This ice melt destroyed my new $10,000 driveway. I now have chipping %26 spalling on my brand new poured concrete. What happened to the lady in the below news story one year ago (using the same product) happened to me in 2024. She tried to sue the company, but company blamed her (user) not their product. But if you do your research the salt used in their ice melt has been shown to corrode concrete in scientific studies. Walmart please stop selling this destructive product!! How can a pet friendly de-icer corrode concrete?? Awful!! Shame on the manufacturer %26 Walmart please take a closer look at how bad this product is!! https://www.wral.com/amp/20765592/

It's good for the price.....but...

I have tried Pet Safe Ice melts and they just don't work. As a cost comparable product, I tried this even though it is "Pet Friendly", not Pet Safe. I use it sparingly, and clean it away as soon as I can because it does burn my dogs' paws. If they lick their paws and I did not rinse them well enough they do vomit, drink lots of water, drool, and pant as if they are in pain.

Excellent Buy!

Loved this product! I had 3 options to buy from and i chose the pet friendly bc we have feral cats around our home. It worked really well. As for the people who is saying it doesn't work...you can't put a product on the ground and expect magic lol after it sits you must go back and shovel the ice/snow off. After that put more on and the ice will be completely gone! That bag lasted 5 days through a foot of snow and quarter inch of ice!

Ignore the negative review. It works

Used this last winter as it was the only thing left at the local Walmart in March despite winter still here in Minnesota... I was very surprised and pleased with how well it works. Just keep in mind that it's only going to warm things up about 15° or whatever it says... So put it down when the sun is out to get best results.

Thumbs up

This is the only non-salt ice melt that really works. I've tried Snow Joe Melt friendly and it destroyed my cement grout between my stones. This ice melt works perfect on my large circular paver driveway. Thumbs up.
