Best overall value for this size

A 65" QLED TV at $399 is about the best deal out there at this point in time. This replaced my Samsung Q60 55". I was tired of the clunky Samsung interface. The Roku platform is sooo much easier to work with, plus you can download the remote on your phone and use the keypad. Does this TV have the picture quality of the $1000+ Samsungs and LGs? Nope. But I will say it looks way better than anything even close to its price range. Roku setup is a breeze and you can go into the picture settings and adjust things to your liking. Colors REALLY pop, but I wish the resolution was a little sharper. Only had it for a day, so I will keep playing with it. Overall, its not an OLED, but it never claimed to be. Can't speak for durablilty yet, but overall I would definately buy again as well as recommend to anyone.

Great Price

Just bought this TV, great price at $399, but the picture quality isn't what I was expecting, I thought it would look much better since this has QLED Tech, well as they say you get what you pay for. The picture is milky like to white wash- when I am on Direct TV, now when streaming 4K or higher on Netflix- the picture is much better to very good. The sound is very good- I prefer: Theater setting and has Dolby Atmos availability, ROKU is EXCELLENT- the main reason for buying this TV over others. I tried a couple of different settings for picture, its better- I was thinking of returning this TV but I will keep it, again QLED TECH is upsetting on this TV- slightly below average-picture quality on 720-1080 resolution. The ONLY REASON I give this TV a 4 Star rating: EXCELLENT Price, ROKU, Very Good Sound Quality, it would be 5 stars- if the picture quality was better. I have a 7 year old LG 4K- that the picture is better than this unit with QLED. Hopefully this honest review helps you.

THIS TV HAS MUCH BETTER COLOR THAN LED TVs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a QLED TV and this was a great value for the price! I liked the color and brightness but the contrast is very poor. May be because of that the picture quality is not as good as other comparable QLED TVs such as Vizio. I liked the nice small remote but the volume keys on the right tells me that it was designed by a left handed person. So every time I try to turn on or off the TV with my right thumb, the finger presses volume keys; increasing/decreasing volume instead turning off or on the TV!

Great features and picture quality

Set-up this TV last week in our bedroom. It was easy to unpack. I suggest the user wears gloves to avoid getting fingerprints on the screen when initially unwrapping the TV from the inner packaging. During set-up I had to create a free account on Roku which was easy. It asked me what apps I wanted to add to the TV. Screen prompts on the TV made initial set-up easy once I entered various passwords for my wi-fi and streaming services. Since I was using an antenna and not a cable box it took a few minutes for the TV to scan for channels. It picked up all the same channels I was watching on my previous TV. Once the TV was set-up and I was on the main menu screen, it took me a moment to select my favorite channels via antenna and Roku TV service. I noticed that the remote does not have numbered keys which I was used to from past TVs. But it was not a problem once I figured out how to access the Live TV menu. And the remote is smaller as a result. Easy to scroll through the channels and pick what I wanted to watch. The TV screen is very thin as well as the borders around the viewing portion of the screen. Like it as it provides more viewing area for the size of the TV. The picture is bright and clear on both live and streaming channels. Didn't notice any difference with the picture quality or viewability when the blinds and were open with lots of sunlight or closed. There was no to very little lag time when switching between streaming services, which I like. Only minor glitch I noticed was once when I turned the TV on, it showed the incorrect time. Once I hit the menu button the TV quickly corrected itself to the right time. Hasn't happened again. Overall, I would recommend this TV. The 50" is perfect for our bedroom.

One Of The Best TV's On The Market!

Was looking for a replacement TV after my Samsung messed up and The Philips QLED caught my eye. Chose to end up getting it for the great quality and good price. So far the TV hasn't had any problems and the quality and sound has been amazing. Would definitely buy from Philips again!

Perfect QLED Roku TV for new smart TV users

I got this 50" QLED Roku TV a few days ago. I set it up in my bedroom. The initial set up was really easy because I used to watch news channels with my old TV and which needs TV antenna. But this one does not need the TV antenna so now I can enjoy many news channels just plug the power cord into socket. Another thing what I like the most about this Roku TV is I just need to log in to my YouTube account to watch all of the You Tube channels which I have subscribed previously. Picture and sound qualities are amazing and it is very convenient and easy to stream iTunes music in this TV and theater quality sound is the bonus point when listing the songs purchased from the iTunes store. Overall I really satisfied with the features of my new TV and I would like to recommend it especially to the one who is new to Roku Smart QLED TV.

Fantastic Quality for the Money

After researching for hours, I settled on this TV because the picture quality, reviews, and specs were the best for the money. Similar TVs on the market were twice the price. I also loved that it was only 21 pounds so it would be easy to carry up to my 2nd floor apartment in an old house. It was super easy to set up, synced with my Roku account after updating its software, and I was up and running. I am THRILLED with the picture and the sound is also terrific. This is the best deal on the market right now. If you can find one available, grab it!

TRULY DISAPPOINTED

It's exactly 3 years old. Now there is a 4 inch wide gray vertical stripe down the left side on the screen. It shuts down without warning, usually when my team is just about to score. It disconnects from wifi without warning and WILL NOT RECONNECT unless you unplug the TV. TRULY DISAPPOINTED

We Love This TV

[Employee of philipsglobal] We currently own a number of Philips products. This TV is the latest addition to our collection. Very easy to set-up and start watching. The entire process (from opening the box to fully operational) took less than 15 minutes. The Roku Entertainment System is so easy to master. Through Roku, this TV was immediately synced up with our other Roku devices (no need to re-enter or download any additional information). QLED provides a superior picture quality. Great for sports, movies and cartoons. The entire family loves this new TV. Would highly recommend it.
