It heated up in no time. I literally lined up six dress shirts on a small rack, and in no time they were wrinkle free. The steam starts and stops instantly. I am not a fan of ironing, but this machine made it a breeze. Highly recommended!

My Rowenta dc5030 steamer does not work after 10 years. Love my 5030 so I bought this one. It has a lot of nice updates but it does not steam like my old one. So I returned it because I was not impressed on how little the steam came out. I’m going to try a different one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ROWENTA Compact Steam Pro is a powerful steam iron with 400 steam holes which provides enough steam to shorten the ironing process on removing those stubborn wrinkles. The system includes a water tank which is a great benefit to those who need to iron for a few hours. It is a different system in that the water enters the iron through a pump from the water tank. Tap water is the recommended water. The iron can also be used in a vertical position to steam clothing on a hanger. The only downside is not the iron itself but mislabeling of the iron…when I think of “compact”, I think of light weight, easily transported and small storage space. That is NOT this iron. It is as heavy or heavier than a traditional iron and requires ample space for storage. The advantage in storage would be that it can be stored on the water tank. The instruction book was a little to be desired. I am a little apprehensive when using a newly configured electrical appliance for the first time. Parts were not labeled and the directions referred to specific parts. It took me awhile to read and reread to feel safe before using the iron.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Rowenta compact steam pro is a great product with many uses. This steamer can be used both vertically and horizontally to remove wrinkles. The refillable reservoir is easy to fill and holds enough water for you to steam for over an hour without being refilled. The steamer has 400 steam holes that allow a large surface to be steamed at one time. One of my favorite features is the storing station that securely locks the steamer in place for easy transport.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a cheap, upright steamer for a while that was adequate. When I got this product, I was thrilled for the professional-quality results and the size of the machine-- I could plug it in and leave it on top of my front-load washing machine. However, the steamer has a severely deficient design, whether you want to use it vertically or horizontally, like an iron. First, it is way too heavy. My mother was a seamstress and had a professional iron when I was growing up, and this is MUCH heavier. Doing more than one garment hanging on a hanger would be impossible for most folks without a break, and I am a healthy guy in his early 30's. Second, the button is obnoxious to hold down, and difficult to do while using the steamer. It has a hair-trigger and no auto-on or lock mechanism, which I see as a fatal flaw. Having to hold it down with an already unwieldy iron just makes it impractical. I gave this 4-stars because I did get the professional-quality results I was promised. But for design and ease of use, maybe 2? I am going back to my generic old upright.

One thing I really like is there are several quick settings to adjust the temperature of the iron for specific materials you intend to iron. Another thing is I really liked the bigger water tank on this iron which allows you to iron more clothes without the need to have to refill in between clothing. Another thing that was cool is that there is a place to safely set your iron down with a lock mechanism to prevent burns to yourself or children. I also felt like this iron glided(if that is a word lol) on the clothing much easier than my previous iron.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I honestly love the new ROWENTA Compact Steam Pro Iron! I was so intimidated by the big iron, and I though it was going to be complicated to set it up, but it was such an easy setup. I literally unpack it, took 5 minutes to look over the easy instructions, then filled the blue canister with a mixture of 1/2 water and 1/2 distilled water because we have hard water in our area. I simply press the middle "On" button to turn on the machine, and set my settings to cottons with steam, and my iron was ready. This Rowenta iron is so impressive, I literally ironed five blouses and two pants in 20 minutes tops, and what I liked the most is that lots of steam comes out when you press on the iron handle while you are ironing, and stops when you let go on pressing for steam, and that way you don't get any steam when you don't need it. This Rowenta-Compact Steam Pro is worth it!
