After much review I settled on this generator during a Black Friday sale. So far excellent. Easy set up, the digital gauge for power usage, fuel remain time , volts etc is a great feature. Comes with everything needed to be up and running in minutes. Also very quiet which is an added bonus.

Bought this generator for my camper. Dual fuel is certainly a positive. Remote works great for starting while inside camper especially at night. Handle is convenient moving generator to different places. Very conservative on gas and propain. We will highly recomend this generator to family and friends. Searced for the perfect generator for us and we have found it.

Unit arrived quickly and with no physical damage. Started right up on propane, but kept surging on idle. Contacted customer service and they are sending a new carburetor for me to replace, if I feel handy enough. If not, they offered for me to take it to a authorized shop. I will wait and see what is involved. Part is on its way. If it wasn't for the carburetor issue, I would give 5 stars. Really meets my needs.

We were anticipating a pretty significant snow storm here in Northwest Kentucky. Y to he night before it’s arrival I tried to start my 20 year old generator. Always worked well, but locked up this time! I bought this Westinghouse Dual Fuel 4500 unit as the storm began. In 20 minutes I was up and running! No pulling cords to start: the battery did it all! The sound level is so much better than my previous generator. This is a great find.

I bought this generator for my RV because it had the power to run my A/C and other RV accessories, it is an inverter generator (for my electronics) with dual fuel capability and remote start, and it was advertised as very quiet. From the start, the generator battery was not viable. The remote and electric start did not work. I removed and charged the battery and after replacing it, the generator started at home. But when I went to camp, it failed again. The generator would not start by any means at times, then out of the blue (after a while), it would start with the rope pull. It is not happy without a fully charged strong/viable battery. This is a common issue I found in other reviews. The generator shut down on a hot day with temperatures just under 100 degrees (when we needed it most) even though it was in the shade. When it did work, it was very nice. It uses a lot of fuel and is noisier than expected, but these are things I can live with at their current levels. The exterior makeup of the generator is very cheap with plastic clip-on covers and switch protectors that pop off during the first use of the machine. It is light weight for all you get in the generator which is nice. Perhaps a wi-fi link to a cell phone app would take this to the next level to monitor everything on the front display from inside the RV?? This generator has ton of potential if Westinghouse would bullet-proof the important selling point items such as remote start, electric start, run reliability and sound output.

I bought this a little over A month ago and have only ran the generator on Propane for the break in period and have no issues as yet, My previous experience was a 5500 Onan LP gen. over 9 years and I prefer to run LP although having gas as an alternative is a great asset. because of the virus situation. I haven't been able to use it more, so far I'm impressed with the quality and quietness.

Just bought it and set up was easy - add oil, attach quick-connect battery cables, attach propane tank, and voila. Runs much quieter and weights 50% less than the Champion non-inverter I had before. I really like the telescoping handle too. I've only tested propane so far. But electric and remote start worked first try. My only caution is I didn't see in manual what the oil capacity is. It's a bit less than the quart they provide, and it's not easy to see when the chamber is full. It would be nice if they noted the actual oil capacity of the engine so you can pre-measure and avoid over-filling.

I will update this review once I have more time with the generator. But right out of the box the remote control does not work. I did follow the instructions and try to re pair it also. When holding down the on/off button for 10 seconds it never gives me the green power light like the instructions say. The remote will not start the generator when you click on. I will try calling and emailing customer service and I will come back and update this with pictures and a new review.

We love this generator. It is powerful to run the A/C on our RV when we are boondocking. A real game changer for our RV lifestyle to get off the grid and not be bound to electric hookups to stay comfortable and enjoy our time exploring this great country. When we are running the A/C we can't even hear the generator running.

I haven't had this long enough for a long time review but in the short time I have used this IGEN 4500 dual fuel I am very pleased with the features it has. I plan on using this with propane exclusively, but like that I can also use it with gasoline. The remote start and shut off is a great feature. This is a quiet generator that kicks up and down smoothly for power demand. Output scale on the front panel is a great feature also. This also works my 3500 BTU A/C unit, fridge if you don't have a propane option, and your hair dryer and curling irons. ( important stuff when dry camping)
