Did a lot of research as to what generator to purchase for working on rustic cabin with no electricity. Had my sights on the Westinghouse iGEN 4500 and knew I needed to get one! We had a storm blow through and knocked out my power at my house so had to act fast. Found one, hooked it up to frig and 21 cubic ft. freezer for nearly 56 hours straight and ran like a CHAMP. A single full gas tank was good up to 21 hours....Purrs like a kitten but powerful as a Lion!!! Love this unit and highly promote anyone in need of generator to buy this model!!! We were searching for a portable generator to power our RV when camping in remote areas without hookups. We wanted a dual-fuel model, and found that this generator had the features we wanted: 4500 watt performance to power our air conditioner, a remote start, and a built-in 30 amp RV outlet. We have operated it about 4 hours, using both gasoline and propane. It has started without a problem every time. The digital readout is very useful, and we like that a charger was included for the starter battery so that we can keep this machine ready to go. It was out of stock for months, but it was definitely worth the wait.

I bought this for our 35’ Montana and I couldn’t ask for more. Dual fuel runs off propane so I don’t have to have something with gas in my front storage compartment. Starts right up and carries the load of the entire coach with one a/c running (residential fridge). I would buy this again. Outstanding!

I purchased this generator and received it on time undamaged in the box. I followed the start up instructions and it started with no issues. Will be using it this weekend after the break in period. There were no rust issues around the gas fill area as I had previously seen on other reviews.

This is my second 4500df generator. It is super quiet and easy to operate. One note for set up, instructions state to add the whole bottle of oil they include, which is great, but each time it over flowed the oil and made a mess. So don't add the whole bottle without looking at the level. Otherwise it is recommended.

I bought this model specifically because of the features. I have only had it for about 5 days so I am still breaking it In. The KW capacity is the right size for me and the dual fuel capability is my hedge agains shortage on one or the other fuel type. I an not sure it is properly displaying the fuel level but all else appears to be showing correctly.

I am very well pleased with our purchase decision. There are a number of portable inverter generators, not many at this price point that are so well engineered and laid out though. We are RV users and though I have actually just received it and set it up I am convinced we made the right choice for our money. It is not as light as a Honda but a Honda at this power level would cost twice as much. As for noise I can’t compare it to any as this is the only portable we have, but it does not seem obnoxiously loud by any means, and the camping we do we tend to not be around a lot of people and the generator will be used to charge the batteries we have for our trailer for the most part, intermittent use, not continual. So we are quite happy with our iGen4500DF.

Works great. Pretty quiet - especially in Eco Mode with lower loads. Easy to use. I like the dual fuel feature and the push button start. It's a bit heavy but the pull out handle makes it quite manageable. The oil and battery compartment covers could be bigger. If you have large hands it might be troublesome.

Engine oil found on the unit when I removed the plastic. Strap to hold the battery was hard to find. Once I did find it, it was severed during shipping and I was unable to use it which was disappointing. Other than that, we finished running it for the 5 hour break-in period and all seems to be working fine.

I love this thing! This generator really does the job as I expected. The generator is reliable and is able to power appliances that are essential during power outages in California. For those in doubt of product... You will be surprised of how great this thing is!!!
