iGen 5000DF Just arrived

Just purchased this unit for my travel trailer. I have only set it up and did the initial run ups. It started easy and ran quiet, really quiet. Everything function properly, packing was very good. My only caution for older folks is that this unit is heavy. It is a struggle to lift by yourself, simple with two.

Verified Purchase

Somewhat informative

Purchased it for it for power outage and hope that I never need to use it. That being said, I am only using propane. Instructions were good and easy to follow. Started right up and ran for about 40 minutes so far. I tested several items and will run later toward fall after I do a little more research for possible main panel hook up.

Takes the stress off!

I bought this for, at a minimum, two pieces of medical equipment. After doing quite a bit of research, this generator has everything I need and then some, including power to spare. The remote start fob is a huge plus and being able to use propane is really convenient.

Quiet!

I bought this a week ago and immediately put it to use. At first, we couldn't get it to run by pressing the on/off button, nor the remote control; it would only start manually. It turns out it needs to run a few hours for the battery to charge. So far, we are happy with the purchase.

Should work for my table saw & compressor

I've only just unpacked it, (over)filled the oil, and ran it for ~ 1 hour, with a modest load. So far everything appears to be working as expected. Why not 5 stars? Stop delivering the unit that includes a .6 L bottle of oil, when there is already ~ .1 L in the crankcase! What a mess! Or at least include a warning in the 'QuickStart' insert.

Very easy to use!

I bought this a few weeks ago so if the power went out I would be able to run my hot water heater or my refrigerator depending on the time of year It's been pretty easy to set up so far I'm just registering it now And I'm glad I have one because I couldn't afford a solar battery

Starts easy and quiet

I bought this item a few weeks ago. I started it and powered my camper as a test. I have yet to deploy it to the field and give it a full go as the manual recommends a 5 hour break in period at 50%. 50% for my Camper consists of lights, TV, A/C, Fridge and Freezer. So far I love how easy it is to start and how quiet she is. More to follow after the 5 hour break in period when I can see what this baby can do running my entire camper.

Great Generator, Very Quiet

I bought this generator a week ago and I love it. I plan to use it for my 16 foot pull behind RV. I can't wait to hit the road and put it to some good use. Already been testing it out around the house. Very Pleased. Also, I was glad it has EFI. That's a plus.

No more spoiled food.

This generator is intended for home back-up. For a 79-year-old women, it was fairly easy to set up. I've only done a 5 hour break-in so far, but I was very pleased when I added the frig/freezer and the gen snaped right to it. The wheels and extendable handle work well. I moved it with no problem. I will only use propane. Looks like the oil changes won't be too difficult either.

Enough Power to run retirement 600 są. FT. Cabin

Just started -Put in wrong date on regerstration- 2 days ago using propane. Started easy with electric start. Bought because of online reviews. Have not had Power outsgeyet. My old generator was a Champion 3600 running watts. Bought for camping have 30 amp camper. Also used at our retirement cabin also fine. Cabin only world for 100 amp service used many times without fail. Reason for this new unit is Electric Start and can use propane. This unit will stay at cabin- we are in a pine forest-Lots of Power outages. This unit is 4800 watts on propane so will not be running as hard. We are both 74 if something happens to me my wife can start unit. I wired into box thru a 3 amp breaker and have a number 10 copper exterior Extension ford running from generator to cabin.
