Really Nice Generator

I bought this generator and because of business commitments it was 2 weeks later before I was able to start and use. I started the generator using propane. As soon as I hit the start button it started right up. I am really pleased with how quiet it is when running. I only used some small tools with it today but it did great.

Quiet

Bought a week ago and filled the oil with the amount given and it overflowed, put 3 gallons of gas in it , pulled it 20 times without turning it on to distribute oil in engine , when I figured out I had to add a ground wire it started right up. In my opinion Super Quiet ....3 gallons has lasted bout 20 hours with 5 hour breakin and the rest running a RV AC unit and it stays bout 50% power usage. 13,500 ac unit runs with lights on and microwave running. So far , So good...easy to set up and move with handle and it's less noise than a window ac unit.

I’m forced to review prior to trying it

I got this a few weeks ago, just read the manual, I’m gonna try it out tomorrow but in the process of getting it set up I decided to register the product. In order to get the freebie I had to agree to do the review but as noted above I haven’t even use the product. These guys should allow one to write the review later on.

Fast start

I purchased this because of the dual Fuel capabilities. connected the propane to the generator and pushed the start and it did not start. The generator tried a second time on it's own and started with no problem. The auto start is a great feature. I ran the generator for about 20 minutes unloaded. I added a slight load of a fan and then added a 1300 watt heater and the generator was quiet and ran the heater just fine. The voltage was 120 volts. I would recommend this product.

I like it!

Received the iGen4500DF yesterday. It was packed well and had no apparent damage. The unit started easily on LP but I didn't have proper gas to try. Everything seems to operate as it should. Will test it with loads soon and report with a new review. I see no reason at this time to rate this portable generator anything but a 5. Really do wish that gen cover would be for my size unit!!!

Great generator

I'm early into my ownership, but so far so good. As I am using this for a back-up power source, the dual fuel capability was important as I wanted a fuel source (propane) that could be stored for extended periods and remain stable. You lose a little output with propane, but it is worth it to me. Additionally, though more expensive, an inverter generator is a must for me to protect various hard-wired equipments with sensitive electronics. Based on my early experience, I'm considering a second inverter to run in parallel. If you want an economical back-up option, this is a good one.

Disappointed

When I open the box I discovered the generator was packaged in the box upside down. There is some damage on the plastic housing and The connections on the battery were bent and the battery was flipped upside down inside The battery compartment and I found the plastic cover for the battery compartment laying in the bottom of the bag with some of the foam sound proofing Tore off the cover I was able to fix the connections on the battery and put the cover back on Now that I had the battery hooked up I put oil in it and hooked it up the propane the unit started right up so I put two different loads on it a space heater And a fan Separately. Digital data center Only read 0000 No power output and no voltage and lifetime run hours The propane connection it’s not centered so the cover doesn’t seal it. Sorry it’s not letting me down load pictures.

Great so far!

I've only had this generator for about a week. After initial setup it has performed flawlessly while running on propane. This generator provides enough power to run my 30 amp travel trailer but also doubles as an extra bit of backup power if needed at the house. I only ran it for a few hours but I'm excited to take this out and off grid.

Great product

Really happy with the generator, starts easily and is quieter than I was expecting. It’s super easy to move around with the telescopic handle. The oil plug is a bit difficult to get to when adding or checking oil but everything else about the generator is a pleasure.

Reliable Winter Storm Hero!

Sure, I've used my Westinghouse inverter / generator to save the day when the church pancake breakfast needed more power to supply the electric griddles. But I was most grateful to have my reliable dual-fuel inverter during San Antonio's "snowmageddon" when we lost power for three days in February of 2021. The generator ran as-needed to keep us from loosing all the food in our fridge. Since it's an inverter, I knew I could rely on it to supply "clean" steady power to more sensitive electronics like my handheld amateur radio, which served as our backup communication since we didn't have cellular service at our house. The ability to run off propane meant I didn't have to worry about running gasoline dry for long-term storage but I still had gasoline in case the propane ran out. This full-featured inverter / generator helped make our 3-day blackout a breeze such that we were able to comfortably support not only our family with 5 small children, but also my wife's brother and his wife that stayed with us during the storm.
