Just got mine in 6/28/21 the directions state to use the whole bottle of oil but it actually only would hold 3/4 of it so pour slow and check often so that you do not over fill, pull start rally easy and the remote is great the features and led display is great cant wait to try it out this weekend for its 1st camping trip.

I am very satisfied with this product. It starts right away on a cold start. I ran it on both gas and propane, and it is very efficient. I ran it for 9 hrs on gas and under heavy load (3850watts) for the last hour. Works perfectly, no issues what so ever. Highly recommended if you are in the market to buy a generator.

I bought this to replace a Honda EU3000is generator that I loved. Sadly, the Honda would never run our trailer air conditioner. Since everything is included, even a funnel to fill the oil, I took the box with us and I set this generator up over July 4th weekend. I did all the initial prep, it fired right up and after letting it run for a little while to break it in so to speak, I turned it off and connected the trailer to the RV plug. I restarted the generator and fired up the air conditioner and the power meter never went above 50%. It has a little bigger engine that the Honda, but I think it is easily as quiet as the Honda EU3000is generator was. The remote is a nice touch if you don’t want to go outside on a cold morning to start it.

Just bought the 4500DF put in gas and oil and it fired right up. Still in the break in period so haven't used it a lot but it handles the load and runs quiet. I did see that the manual said the foam air filter should have oil on it so I checked it and it didn't. The set up instructions said nothing about doing this. When you get your generator CHECK THE AIR FILTER! So far I would recommend this generator as it runs good and has nice features.

I researched portable generators thoroughly to use for household back-up in the event of a power loss. Upon receipt (it arrived very well packaged) and after filling with oil and connecting the battery, the generator would not start. I open the side panel and found that a wiring harness, which apparently actuated the automatic choke, was not connected. I connected the harness and the unit started and ran perfectly. If it had not been for the above mentioned issue, I would have rated the unit five stars. I would highly recommend this generator to a prospective buyer.

I bought this product with the intention of using it for a family outing. To my surprise, this turned out to be a value added product. It performs well, runs great and the dual fuel feature is a winner. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the generator ran and even more pleased with the run time on a tank of gasoline as well as with the propane. I'd recommend this product to anyone who's interested.

Engine oil found on the unit when I removed the plastic. Strap to hold the battery was hard to find. Once I did find it, it was severed during shipping and I was unable to use it which was disappointing. Other than that, we finished running it for the 5 hour break-in period and all seems to be working fine.

I have owned the igen 5000 DFC for about 2 weeks now. I have run it for about 3 to 4 hours under various light loads. It says to run for about 5 hours under 50% load so I do not know how much load it will handle but it seems to be doing well. I plan on only running this generator on propane. It started the very first time I hooked up the propane. I have started it with the remote start, the pool start, and the push button start. All worked flawlessly. This is the second Westinghouse generator that I have owned. Hopefully this one works as well as the last. It is a little large and a little heavy but it will power everything in my fifth wheel without a problem. Including the air conditioner. I would highly recommend this product.

I'll start with the good. The fit and finish on this thing is pretty nice. The little fold up handle and wheels are super nice too when moving it around. Now for the bad. The eco button or throttle control does not seem to work properly. It fires up and runs, however it always runs at a pretty high throttle. The eco button doesn't drop the throttle down to idle as it should. When I put a load on it revs even higher, and when I take the load off it stays up at the higher throttle. When it is running at the higher throttle it pops and sputters. My dad bought the same generator and we compared them. His eco button causes the idle speed to drop way down. When he puts a load on it, it revs up, and when the load is taken off it revs back down to idle. In addition, his does not pop and sputter when a load is on it. I contacted customer support a few weeks ago and they issued a claim number but I have heard nothing else from them. Otherwise, if it were running properly, I would say this is a pretty nice generator. As I mentioned above, the fit and finish is good, the handle is a nice touch, and it is relatively quiet for 3700 running watts. I will update this review once the problem has been solved.

IT WAS SO EASY TO INSTALL. IT STARTED INMEDIATELY THE BUTTOM WAS PUSHED. VERY, VERY QUIET. I ORDERED IT WIHTOUT TELLING MY WIFE TO GIVE HER A SURPRISE. WHEN SHE SAW THE GENERATOR. HOW HANDY IT WAS AND THAT IT MADE MUCH, MUCH LESS NOISE THAN THE ONE i HAD, SHE WAS PLEASED. NOW MY SON WANTS TO BUY ONE.
