The Westinghouse iGen4500 is an excellent inverter generator with about twice the power of most inverter models. It is exceptionally quiet, very portable and very user-friendly making this a smart choice for when you need more power but don’t want to give up on silence and portability. Monitoring of the iGen4500DF's status and activity is made possible by a digital data center, which provides information on the remaining run time, power output, fuel level, lifetime run hours and voltage and is one of the main features that will help with monitoring operation and maintenance scheduling. The dual fuel feature allows for real life options in an emergency or planned usage for portable power. My usage will be as a homeowner in need of emergency backup power for my essential loads. Setup and initial operation was simple and straight forward, due to the excellent documentation that was obviously written by competent Westinghouse engineers. I highly recommend this product.

Really happy with the generator, starts easily and is quieter than I was expecting. It’s super easy to move around with the telescopic handle. The oil plug is a bit difficult to get to when adding or checking oil but everything else about the generator is a pleasure.

I wanted a backup generator that wasn't too big like an open frame model. But I also wanted an inverter model that was more powerful than most inverter models. Finally, it was important for me to get a dual fuel generator. The iGen 4500DF fits the bill perfectly.

Received this as “open box” item. Oil was missing, but other than that everything was in great shape. Added oil (slowly), hooked up the battery, connected the propane, pressed the button, and bingo! Away she goes! Quiet as promised, a little larger (and heavier) than I thought it would be, but looks like it’s gonna be a nice add to our trailer camping adventures.

I bought this generator a couple months ago. Upon receiving it, I learned I was supposed to install a high altitude carburetor kit (from instructions buried in the manual) or I would void the warranty. The high altitude kit was nearly impossible to find online. The part numbers didn’t match the numbers in the manual but they did match the part numbers I found in a Westinghouse blog. I finally found it on some site that seemed affiliated with Westinghouse but I’m not even sure. I certainly wasn’t sure I’d receive the parts I ordered. They did show eventually but the instructions on the blog are really only meant for a technician so I had to find a local repairman to come install them. I finally got them installed, two months after my initial purchase. If you live above 2,000 ft, be prepared for a long process to buy and install the kit The generator otherwise seems solid and well built. Starting it is easy and it’s quiet

I just received the generator. The main purpose of use will be for camping. I have no doubt that I would be able to use it minimally, for my home if needed. This generator has great features such as dual fuel, electrical outlets, USB, remote start and wheels to easily move when on the ground. It is quiet. I am satisfied with my purchase so far.

This is generator is pretty good for as small abs quiet as it is. Only reason I didn’t give 5-stars is because it requires me to work on it for it to run properly. The automatic chock wires were disconnected right out of the box and it didn’t run very well with the factory spark plug. However, once those 2 issues were remedied, it’s been great!

I bought this because of all the extra features you don’t see on other models of this size and power. Love the fuel level, time remaining and load level that is all found at a quick glance. Packaging was well done as the delivery service was not so gentle with it. Wheels make it easy to move around once you wrangle it from the box with some help.

I ordered my iGen5000DFc after a fair amount of research into which generator would best suit my needs for my RV. At the time of this review I have yet to use or even run my generator because camping season is still over a month away. One thing I can say is that I was very impressed with how easily this unit was to set up. After unboxing there's nothing to it. This has got to be the easiest setup for a generator this size that I have ever seen.

First time owning a generator. This unit is well labeled, instructions make sense, and was very easy to setup and operate. It is quite heavy but the extension handle makes moving the unit around easy enough. I will be teaching the wife how to get it all set up and have no concerns about her being able to operate it.
