Ridiculous instructions 3/4 of it is warnings. So far, that is the only con I have been able to find

Purchased two of these iGen4500DF generators to parallel and power my 50 amp RV. Got them home, followed the easy to understand directions and fired them both up. I'll have to break them in before paralleling them, but I'm pretty confident they will work out just fine. The remote start/stop is a great feature.

My only issue to date was that I couldn’t find any info on where the serial number was located. A quick call to support solved it instantly. (It’s on a bar code located low between the wheels - almost underneath the unit) Packaging was good - no visible shipping damage.

I was looking to replace my portable inverter that was stolen while at Canyon De Chelly on the Navajo Nation this summer. This unit is a bit larger, heavier, quicker and more powerful. Looking to use on my next adventure to the east coast and Florida Keys.

... but do NOT follow the instruction "pour the entire bottle of oil into the engine". Maybe I got lucky and they sent me extra oil, but now I have a large oil stain on my deck. Otherwise, seems great - its pretty awesome to be able to turn on a generator with a key fob instead of dislocating my shoulder with the recoil start

I bought this late March as the covid-19 started to unfold, and we got a little worried about our larger then usual food supplies in freezes and fridges in case of a power outage. Inline reviews where very positive plus the quietness appealing, so we went for it. Have not needed to use it yet, but trust I will get the same positive experience, backed by Westinghouse’s name and support

Generator runs fine out of the box. Still working through the break in period so I don't know how it will do under full load but the remote start does not work. The manual shows a different control panel and the remote pairing instructions don't work.

This is our second iGen4500DF and we have had trouble with both. The first one was returned and replaced right away, thinking it was just a lemon. The second one worked well for a while, but after several months started acting up and has been so much trouble.

So far so good. Looks good, runs good. I bought this for home backup, but have only used it trying it out. I havent had a need to really use it yet. Only problem I had with it it when following the initial startup instructions, i emptied the oil bottle into the oil receptacle with the funnel. It overflowed and left a mess. I thought maybe i had a leak. Otherwise, runs fine and i like the handy gauges.

I just purchased the dual fuel generator and I am so happy just to hook it up with propane and use it. I love that the system is enclosed, no assembly was required and it was easy to set up and start with electronic ignition. The engine is quiet for a generator and will keep us out of the dark and warm.
