First time purchase of Westinghouse generator. Have had other brands. This is first with dual fuel capability which is why I bought it. Working on breaking it in right now. Set up was super easy. Have not run propane yet but will once break in is completed. Looking forward to this being our solution to portable power with our camper.

Arrived quickly. Packed well. All items listed arrived. Everything provided but the gas. First step in "Before Starting" quick start guide was wrong. Picture removing engine service cover and adding oil in this area. They provide an oil access panel on opposite side of machine to add or drain oil. Engine access panel does not need to be removed during quick set up. The wheels and pull handle are a great touch for handling the weight of this machine. Does have two (2) sturdy lift handles for two people to lift generator when necessary. Directions in manual are written pretty well for info on how to operate the machine.

I did not use for two months and when I did It started hard and smelled of gas after a short time of running had a puddle under it. Westinghouse offered to send new carburetor and gave me a name of a shop. I have not had time to get it fixed yet. When running it’s quite powers my tools.

Bought this about 2 weeks ago and so far it has been good to me. I do a lot of travel shows for a ski club and 90% of the locations do not have power. I wanted to give this not so little guy a try. Only thing holding me back from doing 5 stars is the housing seems to be subpar.

1. On the upside it has exactly the 30 amp outlet I need for my camper. Very hopeful that it will be able to run the rooftop air conditioner. 2. On the downside I thought it might have a 120/240 outlet and mode which is what I’d need to use it also at home, but it doesn’t. This wasn’t 100% clear in the catalog because the outlets are pictured with the covers on. 3. It is nice that it comes with the wheels already on it. 4. For propane use it comes with this huge external 3-stage regulator. On the DuroMax dual fuel i had, this was built in. The manual does not mention about this. 5. The retractable handle seems a little flimsy for the weight, I’m concerned it might bend and thus bind.

Bought this to power my newly acquired 33' 5th wheel, it powers my A/C unit and most everything else with no problem! In the evening I put it on ECO mode when just running lights, TV, etc., it throttles right down to an idle to where it can barley be heard! Starts immediately with remote control, I shut it off at night with the remote, when I get up I turn the main breaker off in my trailer, remote start the generator then turn on the main breaker in a minute or so, make my coffee! Excellent product! Very happy

I just unpacked my Westinghouse iGEN4500DF generator purchased because another brand failed to start during an ice storm. I returned it ASAP to the company and purchased the 4500DF. I'm only running it on propane. Very easy to set up. No wheels to attach etc. Just filled the oil, which comes in the box and connected the battery clip. It started on the first try and warmed up nicely and quietly. I trust this generator to be ready to run when I need it.

I purchased the Westinghouse iGen4500DFc unit after completing a very complete market evaluation. The unit has everything I need for a back up Genset for our home and for dry camping in our trailer. Being able to add a second unit to increase the system overall power output make this ideal for later updates. Very easy to set up and maneuver on hard surfaces. Remote start is very nice and the noise level in operation is within what I consider the acceptable range. Propane consumption has been nominal during our usage.

I purchased this last month for the summer. Thought I would get it ready and running although I don't need it until April for my trailer. Followed the simple instructions, added oil and connected the battery and the propane hose and regulator. I took three try's to start as the propane needed to make its way to the unit, started and ran just fine. Off to a great start. If you are not mechanically inclined you still would have no problems unboxing and starting the unit. Beautiful, quiet and so easy to use. The remote start is key! Love it!

I bought this two weeks ago and received it shortly thereafter! I broke it in by running it on partial power and changing the oil three times on one hour intervals! I found changing the oil to be very difficult! I hooked it into my circuit breaker box and powered the house with it! It seemed to work very well! Of all the generators out there I highly recommend this one! I like the electronic gauges and the fact that it runs on propane and gasoline! I found switching it very easy with barely a hiccup when it changes over from one fuel to the other! I love the remote starting feature! When hooking it to my circuit breaker box, it was very convenient to be able to turn it off and on from inside my house! Until I build a soundproof minny garage for it, I will bring it into the house after use! When I bring it into the house after use, I cannot smell any gasoline! If you click the cap on the tank it seals it real good!
