I bought this for my kids who fly to go see their dad on a regular schedule and I always use southwest. BEWARE they will only except 3 gift cards per transaction so if you are going to use these for the entire purchase make sure it is covered in 3 gift cards. Nowhere on the cards warn you of this :(. Had to pretty much buy gift cards again. Pain in the butt. OTHERWISE love the southwest prices and Samsclub discount on the cards.

keep in mind you can only use 2 gift cards per confirmation. So low value cards aren't as useful as high dollar cards. In other words this would be better if it was one $150 card.

Great gift! Wasn't sure how to use gift cards of large amount if over the price of ticket so we bought smaller denominations ($50 each) only to find out we can only use up to three methods of payment per purchase. This means $100 (2x$50 gift cards) plus the balance of ticket purchased on my debit or credit card card to buy our tickets. Lessons learned- Should have purchased in increments of $200 Other than that, it's nice to give for travel friends and relatives. Who wouldn't wanna get a gift certificate to fly somewhere! :-)

Buyer be ware, Southwest only allows 3 forms of payment per passenger. 2 of those can be gift cards, but then 3rd has to be a credit card to cover the remainder of the purchase.

Read the fine print. Southwest has a lot of restrictions and gift card redemption limits. I bought more than I was able to use.

Southwest gift card policy per website "Southwest gift cards – A maximum of three Southwest gift cards can be applied per passenger on each reservation. If your purchase exceeds the amount available on the three Southwest gift cards, you will only be allowed to use two Southwest gift cards and another form of payment will be required for the difference. "

This has just become a problem. Southwest airline's system will only accept 3 gift card per reservation? So if you flight costs $300 their system will only accept the 3 $50 gift cards we then had to pay the other $150 with our credit card while we still had other gift cards to use. Sam's needs to address this with them. If you buys the $500 cards you should be fine.

Their rules are very strict. Not a normal gift card. Limit 3 per person with really weird quirks. This is a 3 pack and therefore your limit per person, per purchase. Go find the SW website with the rules and make sure you understand!

SWA only permits you to use two gift cards at one time when purchasing airfare. That makes the $50 card worthless if your intent is to gift someone a trip on SWA. As we attempted to book a $450 flight, we sadly discovered that we could only use $100 in gift cards and had to charge the balance. That defeated the purpose of buying gift cards. Fortunately, I was able to return the two unopened packages of gift cards.
