I’ve always enjoyed this product until my most recent purchase. I bought this brand of crab cakes 2 weeks ago & cooked them for tonight’s dinner. This batch of crab cakes was overloaded with garlic & had far too many shells. I gave up after eating half of one. My daughter had the same complaints after trying to eat one of the crab cakes so I discarded the rest. A shell here or there is not uncommon but multiple shell pieces throughout most of the crab cakes from the same package was disappointing and far from appetizing.

I was so excited to try these, but unpleasantly surprised. I couldn’t really taste the crab, they were just very fishy tasting. Also, wasn’t impressed with the outer crust. I chose option of baking them. Maybe if I had pan fried them, the outside would’ve had a better texture. My husband didn’t like the taste either. I usually try to never waste food, but we threw the rest of them away.

I baked these as instructed on the box. A super fishy smell permeated the house. The taste was tolerable when paired with Remoulade sauce and salad, but alone, it is unpleasantly mushy. I will try to coat the outside of the leftover crab cakes with panko and pan fry them to see if they can be salvaged. I wouldn’t buy these again.

I was excited to try a new product but they were not what I expected. My son took one bite and handed me his plate. He hated them. I thought they tasted a little fishy myself so I rechecked the box to see if it was imitation crab. Tartar sauce or ketchup helps lighten the fishy flavor. I will not buy them again

The flavor and these crab cakes are extraordinary you get very big pieces of crab meat as well as shredded crab meat throughout.the only thing I can say is they didn't get very crunchy like I would like them and taking a spatula to get them out caused them to break up a little bit other than that they were to die for.

I love these crab cakes and I don’t understand why Sam’s doesn’t carry them anymore!
