I'm from South Louisiana and we are very serious about or food, particularly seafood. While I personally like to use jumbo lump and homemade breadcrumbs for my crabcakes, I don't always have the time, ingredients or the inclination to make a batch of them. These frozen crab cakes are of excellent quality and you can take out just one if you like or prepare them all. More crab than cake. Very good product.

I have never gotten a product that smelled so horrid cooking, enter an idiot. I actually put a very tiny bite in my mouth and was absolutely shocked that in this tiny bite I found 2 or 3 pieces of shell and of course it was probably not safe to eat anyway so I spit it out, Do not buy this product. I, however, do absolutely this brands fish fillets and buy several packages each time I place an order. Try those instead.

I have bought many of these as they were good for the price. !Recently bought four boxes (first time buying this many at once) because they are a good quick meal but was utterly disappointed. They, all of them, full of chunks of peppers - they were more of a pepper cake than a crab cake

In the past any item which is Sam's Choice is usually 5 stars. These crab cakes were super salty and all you really tasted was the breading not the crab. Really surprised how bad they were and ended up throwing away most of them because nobody liked them. I love Sam's Choice items just not the crabcakes.

Thought we'd try these; was skeptical, but they were actually very good. The first time I defrosted 2, then sauteed in butter in pan. Today I defrosted 2 in the microwave(about a minute) then baked in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes. I liked them better. Hint: line a pie pan with foil (or cookie sheet for more than two), and spray a little Pam on the foil , so the crab cakes don't stick. I made a sauce of dijon mustard and mayo for the.

They are fantastic as far as taste . I wish there were 8 in a box so I could fix them for my whole family. I don’t eat any crab cakes because there are only 6 in a box. If one person isn’t there I can eat them. I just hate to buy 2 boxes for 1 meal.

These are pretty good but they need a little seasoning and I really struggled to get them cooked properly. Tried pan, oven and air fryer and all 3 ways had issues with the inside being undone and would end up splitting them open to finish. I'd like a better seafood ratio for the price and how few their are in a box. You're mostly paging for bread crumbs and bell peppers.

I’ve always enjoyed this product until my most recent purchase. I bought this brand of crab cakes 2 weeks ago & cooked them for tonight’s dinner. This batch of crab cakes was overloaded with garlic & had far too many shells. I gave up after eating half of one. My daughter had the same complaints after trying to eat one of the crab cakes so I discarded the rest. A shell here or there is not uncommon but multiple shell pieces throughout most of the crab cakes from the same package was disappointing and far from appetizing.

So, I literally just finished trying these crab cake 20 minutes ago. The only reason I gave this 2 stars is because the size of these crab cakes are really good. Other than that, I feel like I need to go to the pharmacy to get something for my high blood pressure. Did I mention that my blood pressure is normally low. I could barely get through a cake without drinking an entire bottle of water. Full of salt! BTW, I counted 4 shells in my 1 crab cake. If you have heavy dental work, I would advise you think twice before you end up at the dentist due to biting into a shell. My verdict... SKIP IT!

These make for an instant appetizer or quick meal by themselves. Easy to cook, put them in the toaster oven from frozen and ready soon after. They are a bit salty though. Crab meat is visible inside and the quality is there as well. Elevates any meal, like you're eating at a high end seafood restaurant... but at home on a weekday. Overall, good bang for the buck.
