My family has been using this product for approximately 10 years -- it was by far the BEST pre-cooked sausage product on the market. In the past month, that changed as the company came up with the brilliant idea of reducing the size of the patty, adding grill marks and I believe blending in additional fat to increase product yield (the finished product that comes out of the microwave is now smaller, has lost its flavor, is more greasy and does not brown up properly). Although I am confident that this new recipe and process reduces product cost, it will surely reduce overall sales as well. The company either chose not to product test the new recipe or opted to ignore consumer input. I bought 4 boxes approximately three weeks ago -- got the sad surprise at breakfast one morning -- hoped that it was just a bad batch. Just bought 4 more boxes yesterday -- tried it this morning -- same problem. Given that, I will no longer buy this product. My individual rating scores are based on today's new product; the old product would have scored 5's on each category.

We used to buy boxes and boxes of this product. Recently, we have noticed that they taste differently and NOT for the better. They taste cheap. Please! Change the recipe and texture back to how they used to taste. That is what set Jimmy Dean apart from the other companies. Disappointed Customer.

These sausage patties are very convenient and tasty. We buy boxes at a time. My mother makes quick sausage biscuits, and my brother who is always dieting eats only the sausage patties without the bread. In the stores, this product is quite pricey; however, much more reasonable at Sam's Club. We would highly recommend this product.G

The new texture is terrible. The texture makes it taste like artificial meat. My friends and family asked what happened to the delicious sausages that you used to serve. I won't buy it again unless you go back to the original texture. You used to have a great product.
