They used to be my favorite breakfast product. For years I bought these, but haven't enjoyed them since they changed the recipe. The texture especially has suffered. Please bring back the far superior old ones.

This sausage is perfect or us! The flavor is awesome! Most convenient to be already cooked. I just defrost & cook in a pan to get them browned just the way I like them!

I have been eating these sausage patties for along time, but am going to have to change to a different brand something has been changed you say the recipe has not been changed and yet alot of other people as well as I find them to be different. I will be looking for another brand that tastes better than these do now.

I've been buying this product for years. In the past six month (this is 8/2021) the taste has completely changed, not to the positive. Reduced salt maybe, but probably even more than that. I will not be buying this anymore which is sad because it was a household staple. You shouldn't mess with perfection.

I purchased my first and last box of the fully cooked Jimmy Dean Sausage patties 3 months ago. The 30ozs. is less than 2 lbs. I too find that they are rubbery. I can get QUALITY fresh ground sausage at my local store, for less and make LARGE patties (to fit my biscuits) with LESS grease. They can be frozen, and reheated just as well. So good bye JD.

While this is the best "frozen" sausage I have came across it is not as good as fresh sausage. Period! However if you want sausage once a week or so and do not want to cook up a full pound then that is where this precooked sausage comes in. Just freeze all of it and take out a package (4 patties) when you need it. Pop it in a microwave for 10-15 secs to get the patties apart then reheat on the stove. Easy Peasy! As a single person these precooked sausage are prefect! A little more expensive than fresh sausage but it says in the freezer indefinitely which can't be discounted.

When I saw the Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage my eyes lit up! Home I came. Fired the skillet up just a bit as you suggested. NO FAT came out of the cooking sausages!!!!!! I thought we were in this together and over the LONG HAUL. Yet when I took the first bite you had been unable to put red pepper into the meat. My first four boxes went immediately into the trash -- back to the greasy boys from up north. My mother was a Scot and it was only a triple blue moon when she would use red pepper in our food, but she ALWAYS had red pepper in a small jar for when it was needed. Why can't you let us non pepper eaters have our sausages plain and maybe those lovely folks who need red pepper on their sausage can keep a small jar near by.

Horrible. These have become uneatable with the texture of sawdust. They were a great product years ago, but I've repurchased multiple times hoping it was just a bad batch. It's not. I moved on to links instead because they seemed to be most similar to the original. No longer. Now they too are just pressed goo. Tried to make sausage gravy to salvage them instead of throwing them out, and all they did was ruin the gravy. Far better off now with smaller brands. Do not waste your money.

We have been eating these sausages for many years. (The taste is similar to the fresh pork sausage that my Father made each year for many, many years.) However, within the past 6 months, the quality of the product has gone from great to so-so. There is a noticeable amount of gristle and small bone particles in the product. It is not pleasant to find such in your food. We will not be purchasing this product further.

I have had Jimmy Dean since i was a kid. Bought these in hopes of finding something easy to take to work. They were so greasy and salty. They were barely edible. Hopefully i got a bad batch or something. Cause that was way less than what i expected. Going to be a long time before i give this a try again.
