Works Great !

We pulled all the carpet and pad in our home in order to restore the wood floors. I bought the 4V ZipSnip Cordless Electric Scissors in order to cut the carpet into strips, that I then rolled up and carried away. They were amazing, much better than I would have expected. The charge would last long enough to do about 200sq feet, and by the time I had rolled that amount, it was recharged and ready to go again. I have been in residential Construction all my life, and I have remodeled several houses by my self, I wish I had known about the 4V ZipSnip Cordless Electric Scissors years ago. I Highly recommend this product.

Great tool

I am female, bought this several years back when it was on QVC. Don't think I've had a tool I use more. I live in the county...order a lot on line. I receive a lot of boxes. Do you realize how much space they take up storing or trying to get to a dumpster? Problem solved for me. I just cut these up with a "zip-zop" and into my stove they go. Being I had this one for several years I though I should get a back up in case they quit making them. Had to call WORX and sure enough they still make them. I HIGHLY recommend them for not only my reason but for others projects to. I love mine and hope you will find it as handy as I do. If they still make them next year I plan to buy all my Children one for Christmas. (Would have this year but have already purchased other things...didn't know they still made them until it was to late) By the way, at this writing they have a good buy on them...just hope they will be that price when I get ready to purchase 3 or 4 more.

Like cutting butter with a hot knife

Used it to remove old carpet and padding and install new sticky back carpet tiles. I'm a 65 year old DIY woman. I volunteer at a non-profit. This tool cut through the nasty, forty year old orange carpet. The even nastier fiber mat underlay. And the sticky adhesive backed new carpet tile. All with no issues. I recommend this cutter 1000%.

Easy

I usually have quite a few cardboard boxes to cut up every week. I've been using a box cutter and this gets pretty tiring. This is light weight and seems to keep a charge for a long time. I've only used the ZipSnip for cardboard and I am impressed with it. The only time I have a problem is when there are patches of heavy sealing tape and it will get stuck. This makes the breaking down of boxes so much easier.

It zip and snips

It does what it supposed to do - zip and snip, but nothing more. I can think of two improvements to make it awesome. 1. In order to use this, you have to apply pressure to the bottom handle and push the top button, which is not always easy and you get tired easily. I get that it is a safety feature. But I think it might work better that you change the top on as a slide switch that you can push up when you grip the bottom handle, and it stays on until you let the bottom handle go. 2. You can cut the papers only if it fits in the width of the mouth of the tool. You can't cut the tape on that box. You still need a knife to open a box. I wish there is a way to flip the lower lips to expose the blades.

Every home needs this tool!

I have had my Zip Snip at last 5 years, and it is the tool every home needs. I bought it to open that impossible to open plastic bubble packaging, that will rip your hands up, and almost nothing will cut. Zip Snip runs through them like butter. During the pandemic, I have accumulated many cardboard boxes of all sizes, and the zip snip makes cutting them down for recycling, a piece of cake. I recently had 2 bathrooms completely remodeled, and the contractor was constantly opening boxes, bubble packs, etc, so I brought out my Zip Snip. He and his wife (who is his cleanup helper) loved it. I bought them a Zip Snip, and bought one for my daughter in her home. One suggestion: Would love to see a small (replaceable) flip out hook blade added. When breaking down boxes, the blade protector of the Zip Snip is a bit too wide to get under flaps of boxes, when cutting the tape, to flatten the box.

Bottom piece gets caught in material

My other electric scissors do not have that lower lip. This lip constantly gets caught in the material being cut - unless you are using the tool in a flat on the ground manner. I took my Dremel tool and cut off this lip and it makes the tool usable in any direction. I would have liked to dismantle the tool and remove the part that way, but just didn't want to take the chance of complicating the matter.

Very handy tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I should of bought this sooner. The ZipSnip is is easy to use and fits in your hand comfortably. Cuts through cardboard with ease, and makes opening them dreaded blister packs quick and painless. No more utility knives, that's a plus in itself. I highly recommend the ZipSnip!
