[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Due to purchasing more items through the mail I now accumulate a lot of cardboard. Since my area has recycling the ZipSnip saves a lot of work cutting the cardboard up as compared to the old manual scissors. Also the wife use them a lot for material. I highly recommend this tool especially as people get older, much work saving.

This was given to me for a Christmas present a year ago. I have been trying to figure out just what I can use it on all this time. It cuts paper easily but tends to rip the paper if you use it too fast. I've attempted to use it to tear down boxes, but there is little room between the blade and the blade guard to get a good cut. I have decided to give it away and use my scissors and box cutter to do a better job. I'm sorry someone spent the money on this product that just is useless to me.

I've been putting off cutting up my carpet for 2 years because I thought it would kill my hands. Then, I saw and bought these electric scissors. They've been super! I cut right thru the carpet and padding with ease. I'm breathing easier at night after getting rid of that dusty old carpet. Thank You Worx!!

I gave this a five star rating because with the exception of the battery, this tool is almost identical to one made by Skil for more than 5 years. Mine is a wonderful tool for opening boxes and also those clear, hard plastic containers which so many items are packaged in these days. It cuts through those like a hot knife going through butter. I've owned mine for over five years, still have the original blade in it, and it's still sharp.

Purchased this to replace regular fabric shears for cutting polypropylene webbing for debris control. The regular shears required constant replacement/sharpening, were slow and created arm/wrist fatigue in employees. The ZipSnip shears performed very well with much reduced operator fatigue, accurate cut paths and very low blade replacements. A minor annoyance is the tiny connector for the charger. The connector should have been bigger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is OK for paper and very thin boxes, but does not work for thicker cardboard. The opening is too narrow for corrugated cardboard like fruit boxes, and even when it fits, the scissors don't have enough power to cut through - so you have to push through. It is of course better than plain scissors, but surprisingly it is simpler to cut cardboards with a quality utility knife than this thing.

I bought this especially to help me deal with deliveries and, unfortunately, it's not designed to open packages. The cutting guard allows you to cut into materials that where there's at least 1/2 inch of space to the left of the blade, which isn't the case when you're trying to cut open a parcel's packaging tape. (Alternatively I'm a numbskull and haven't figured it out! :) ) So it cuts great, but it doesn't do what I want it to do. Scissors, however will and this thing is great for disposing of boxes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After the holidays my home was flooded with cardboard boxes from a refrigerator size to washers to the medium Amazon box. They all have to go to the recycling bin, that is, if they fit. Enter the ZipNip and the boxes were cut into small pieces making it easier to recycle cardboard. Easy to handle, no science to cut thick cardboard or even an old carpet. Highly recommend it.
