The first night sleeping on this mattress was the best sleep Ive had in a long time. I actually overslept and was late getting the kids to school. The mattress is firm enough that it supports my weight and doesn't add extra pressure on my shoulders and lower back. It is very thick and the material on the top of the mattress is very soft. The only con I have with this mattress is that I placed it on top of another mattress, so it constantly slides. If placed on a box spring or a platform bed, this shouldn't be a problem. I used to dread bedtime, but now because of this mattress I'm excited to go to bed now.

My partner and I upgraded from a queen bed to a king and have enjoyed the extra room (my dog has appreciated it as well :) This mattress is really quite firm. It was slightly firmer than I like, so I added a thin mattress topper and it has been perfect. The mattress is also very thick. Make sure you get sheets that fit a thicker mattress. I also got Beautyrest box springs with this mattress. We tried putting them on top of our 10" bed frame and it ended up being too tall for us. If you use the box spring and mattress, make sure you have a very very short frame. Overall I am very happy with the mattress and am glad that I finally upgraded to a Beautyrest.

My doctor recommended I try a firmer mattress. Starting the first night I used it, I have no more back issues during the night. I sleep soundly and wake up refreshed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Beautyrest Silver medium pillow top mattress is absolutely beautiful-the dark charcoal sides and white top with a slight grey checked pattern is almost too pretty to cover up with linens. The fabric feels durable, and is stitched securely-I see many years of use with the overall quality and construction. It's a very thick mattress so be sure to use deep pocket sheets so they don't pop off constantly. I also used a king size comforter so it would have sufficient overhang to meet the box spring and look more finished, I'm pretty picky with how my bed looks though. I chose to keep the box springs for additional height even though the mattress can be used without it. The first thing I noticed is how solid this mattress is, as if one complete piece of construction matterial..and that's a good thing! Absolutely zero transfer of motion, no movement at all, and tested by numerous cat pounces and dog jumps lol. That alone I knew would help me sleep better ;) And sliding out of bed in the morning isn't a heart stopper anymore because this mattress has the edge to edge support so you don't drop down 6 inches sitting on the edge...unlike my other. The first few nights were trial and error, I had to switch types of pillows a few times to get the proper head/neck height with how much I sunk into the amazingly lofty top. But once I figured out the perfect combination it was a sleeping on a cloud heaven! I used to toss and turn and wake up numerous times a night because of pressure point pain in my hip and knee, being a side sleeper doesn't leave to many choices with position shift, I am now sleeping through the night with no pains at all AND also no morning stiffness in my back or neck. Enough support but still feels soft if that makes sense? The best part I think is that I no longer wake up with damp linens from night sweats either, I don't know the fancy logistics of the cooling technology but it sure does work- I'll admit I was skeptical. Truly wonderful what this mattress has done for my sleep cycle :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised with how comfortable this mattress is. It did not have a pillow top, yet there was a plushness to it that made it feel like it was a pillow top. The overall size of the mattress is very tall, but it still fit our deep fitted sheets and mattress pad we already had. I do not awaken in the night when my partner moves around, nor vice versa. My only complaint would be the sides could use more support so if you sit on the site of the bed, it won't sink in as much. It keeps me cool at night, and doesn't seem to radiate heat as much as my old mattress. There also didn't seem to be an odor with this mattress as there have been with other new mattresses I've purchased in the past. I no longer wake up feeling sore and tired.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a stomach and side sleeper, so having the extra firmness is great for me. It is a great support for my back the firmness really helps. My husband tosses and turns sometimes at night, which then wakes me,but having the firmness of the mattress, I didn't feel him move. I got a better night's sleep, although he's not too big on the extra firm. we both like the mattress and would recommend it to others. Very nice not cheaply made mattress good quality material. We would give it a 5 star rating.

It's very sturdy and seems to be dense enough to still feel soft and comfortable. We're all pretty much side and back sleepers so we've been getting extra good sleep lately. We haven't woken up in the middle of the night from discomfort. We've been waking up on time every morning with more energy and less grogginess. My kids now like to watch movies in my room which they never did before. The queen size is perfect for us. The mattress is not only comfortable but very pretty and super soft. Next time I need a mattress it will be a beauty rest.

I purchased the Beautyrest Silver BRS900 Extra Firm mattress with a low profile foundation, and it's the best money I've spent in a long time. The combo looks great and I'm sleeping better than I have in years. Thank you Beautyrest and Mattress Firm!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Beauty Rest Silver is very firm. You’d think it wouldn’t be comfortable being as firm as it is, but it actually is! My back hasn’t hurt anywhere as near as much as it used to. I actually fall asleep quickly and wake up less frequently as I used to. If you have back issues, this is the mattress to get! It’s also very thick and higher off the ground, so it’s easier to get out of. I have this on my adjustable bed and it works perfectly.
