Our Favorite "Red" Sauce

This is one of the best marinara sauces available on a supermarket shelf. My husband is Italian, so I used to make my own "red" sauce (his family's terminology for spaghetti sauce) but that takes time. My husband likes this sauce almost as much as his mother's homemade "red sauce". I have used this as a base for Lasagna, Manicotti, Stuffed Shells, Eggplant Parmesan and Chicken Parmesan. It is also good with browned Italian Sausage or Meatballs. I sometimes add sauteed sliced fresh mushrooms as well, to make the sauce go a little further. I will continue to purchase this sauce since we like it so much.
