Monk fruit sweetener is the closest thing to sugar I have found and I have cooked with it. It has no, nor leaves, an aftertaste. It does have a chemical mixed with it that is linked to strokes, so use it sparingly.

Bought it to bake brownies with; worked great! Love the scent and taste. It also had no discernable effect on my stomach (personally I don't seem to have any usual issues with erythritol, can't speak for other people)

I like it and do not sense any aftertaste. However, it does not seem as sweet so for me, I would prefer raw gava. A teaspoon of process sugar is sweeter than a teaspoon of monk fruit IMO.

We only use "real" sugar for the hummingbirds. This monkfruit sweetner is a combination of monkfruit and erthritol and works one for one like sugar. This brown sugar variety I used for cookies and it was great.

Like that it doesn't leave any after taste and healthier than regular sugar. This made it easier to make the switch from regular sugar. I'm using it in my coffee, tea and baking also.

Just like sugar without the calories. Tastes great! Not worried as it is all natural. There is no bitter after-taste. I use it daily. Highly recommend. Negative aspect is the high price.

So glad Sam's Club carries this. Great price. Best I've been able to find. We substitute monk fruit for sugar in all our recipes. It is not quite 1 to 1. We end up using a higher ratio of monk fruit. Well worth it though for the health benefits vs the health consequences of eating sugar.
