The tread they claim is 11 or 12 new. I would love to see the exact same tires and have them show me how the tread is an 11 or 12 as close to the edge of the tire as it was. But nonetheless, After the warranty it still cost or $189 for the new tire which I had to have because they could not replace the other one because they claim it was too close to the edge. So there you go having a warranty doesn’t mean you’re not gonna pay almost the brand new price for a new tire under warranty at Sam’s Club.

Having read and thinking the GY A Comfortdrive are the new and improved version of the Comfortred Touring I bought them today. Though brand new - I realize a breaking in period can improve the ride, when I had driven the Comfortred touring being brand new, I noticed the extremely smooth and quiet ride. At this point, I am feeling disappointed with the Comfortdrive in comparison to the Comfortred touring.

I have 90,000 miles on the vehicle and I have to finally part ways with the tires. Yes, you read that correctly 90,000 miles. I am the worst customer a tire has ever seen, I don't rotate when I should, I hit curbs all the time, drive aggressively when I am in a hurry (I am in a hurry quite a bit.) and I have not had the car aligned to date. In the summer I drive in torrential thunder storms at least twice a week. All other cars including 4WD pickup trucks, Compact SUV's and full size SUV's are driving down the interstate at 25 miles per hour. I get to buzz along between 60 and 70 MPH in these conditions. I hydroplaned for the first time two weeks ago, time for a new set. They are a bit expensiv...

The originals were very good tires, but these GY's outperform them in ride comfort, secure handling, and traction. Also, the tires balanced out perfectly. Most favorable is the outstanding interstate highway touring. Highly recommend and will instal these on my other car when needed.

You feel every road bump, pebble, cracks, and imperfections. My bald Michelin tires road better. A huge disappointment! They actually make the car louder with the tire noise. I highly recommend a different tire. It can't possibly be worse. I wish I could return them. Also, the side walls were scuffed up even before they were put on the car . They look old and dingy from day one. Had them on for about 1 1/2 to 2 months. So the next section of this review could change. Buyer beware!

However I bought these for comfort. It doesn't deliver. Ride is still very stiff and firm and road noise which 8s my biggest complaint with tires is ever so present. Not very quiet.

The original Firestone tires only had 18k on them, but I couldn't stand the jarrinng ride any longer. Traction is much better too with these Goodyear tires; no more spinouts with rapid acceleration from a dead stop.
Love these tires!

I am a stickler for proper tire inflation and rotation but the Michelins did not hold up as they should have so I bought the Assurance ComfortDrives based on a lot of research and reading reviews. I have about 3,000 miles on them and remain unimpressed. The tractions seems pretty good but the ride does not live up to the hype. And, my gas mileage has dropped by about 3mpg since installing these tires. Time will tell how well they wear. I would not recommend these tires.

I expected similar levels of handling, comfort, and sound. Both sound levels and comfort seem unchanged from the Michelin, but I was shocked by the more responsive steering with the Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrive. At the first left hand turn at a traffic light, I noticed an unexpected difference in responsiveness. Perhaps the better handling may be attributable to stiffer sidewalls and slightly stickier rubber. I purchased the tires with a bias towards quiet and comfort, but feel pleased with the unexpected improvement in responsiveness for a tire that is promoted/named for comfort.

They deaden everything. On a nice sunny day drive this is perfect. In heavy rain, not being able to feel the road is a major downside to me. I previously had the Comfortred touring and these are supposed to have replaced them as an "upgrade" I can tell you that the Comfortred touring was 100% the superior tire. These are very good tires and I have never lost traction even in the heaviest rain. Zero hydroplaning incidents. Just not being able to feel the road during a gully washer is a major negative to me. Not sad that I bought them, but also wouldn't recommend or buy them again either.

IASs a former Nissan and Volkswagen dealer, I have a lot of experience with a variety of tires. From the moment you first drive with this set of tires you notice the low level of tire noise that is produced. I would estimate that it is 50% quieter than the Michelin tires I had. You also notice that the tires run very smooth down the road. There's a feeling of stability, especially at highway speeds. I realixe that in reading these consumer ratings there are some who are critical, however I believe that my objective evaluation here clearly points to these tires being superior in low noise, smooth operation, and stabilty.

The pros would be a quiet, comfortable drive that's definitely good for long road trips or highway driving. Also seem very durable only owned for a few months and already curbed a few times plus hit a large rock which didn't even faze the tires. Dry and wet traction is good. The cons is they seem very heavy which I feel affects handling and especially braking both seem to take longer than my OEM tires. Can't comment on tread life or winter traction as I live in Florida.

Lol so 2 set of tires are really but 2 other tires are just almost bald and I even rotated the tires, balances and alignments. These tires are highway driven. But buyer beware but what is funny. I ask my brother who works at the Goodyear Plant and he said that is why I don't buy Goodyear tires. He buys Hankook tires for his car. Well lesson learned too funny my brother doesn't like Goodyear tires and he works for them. He said that Goodyear tires are trash and I wasted money on a set of 4. No more business from me on Goodyear tires for daily driving. Had these tires for about 1 1/2 years. Not cool

Good handling and traction on dry and wet roads (no snow roads yet). Low road noise. My only concern after 700 miles is the reduction in MPG. Went from 36 MPG to 33.7MPG. Also, the PSI in these tires during the first week varied a lot with 20-degree temperature swings. Seems to have leveled out now but will keep an eye on it.

I wont anymore. I have a "sport" suspension so it is a little stiffer ride, but I put on these Goodyear Comfort Ride tires and I really notice the difference in a nice smoother ride. I like them better for several reasons: 1) The ride is much nicer (not as stiff) and much quieter . 2)The Winter traction is MUCH BETTER and handles great. 3) The treadwear is 60,000 miles whereas the Michelin were 45,000 miles. My Michelin tires didnt even come close to the treadwear warranty. I had to replace them at 32,000....that has been an issue for Michelin over the past years if you read other comments about them and their tire war...
