Very nice device! Quick and easy to learn how to use. Cooks fast and makes great crispy foods of all kinds. Extremely easy to clean. Just plain love it!

This item was on sale at Sam's, yet was no where to be found in the store, so I ordered one at sams.com. It's large and bulky - that's what happens when you purchase based on a picture. This air fryer features several presets selectable from the front display. Ex: french fries - 20 min. @ 400°. Or, the option exists to manually set the temperature and the cooking duration, each only in increments of 10, which I was disappointed with. Note that the user instructions recommend preheating the unit prior to cooking. I tried the fries preset and the unit failed miserably. The fries came out brown and crispy. I was only able to eat less than a handful and had to discard the rest. Then, I discovered that the fries packaging included air fryer instructions: 6 min. @ 400° minutes. This worked out fairly well. Only some of the edges came out slightly brown but on the whole, were edible. The same with mini tater tots. I also tried pull-a-part muffins. Going by the packaging instructions for baking in an oven (no air fryer instructions were provided), something like 6-8 min. @ 375°, but had to settle for ° since someone stole the 5° increments, I had to throw them away as they came of completely brown and hard. I immediately tried the remaining half of the package (6 muffins) at °370 for 4 minutes. These turned out okay, except for the centers weren't hot enough to melt butter. With that, I ran out of muffins to experiment further. The final straw: There is a nonstick-coated grille that sets inside of the nonstick-coated pull-out tray. The grille features a synthetic rubber bumper on each corner to prevent the grille from scratching the tray's interior surface when inserting/removing the grille. After just 6 uses, one of the bumpers broke. As a retired electronics consumer product design engineer, I wasn't having any of that, so I returned the unit to my local Sam's for a refund. The best part of the online purchase was it arrived quickly, and I was able to return it to a physical store for a refund.

Best Power XL so far!! This is my 3rd one and the improvements are great!! One basket not nestled anymore( didn’t work anyways) , the finish inside is so good. The previous ones had a metal basket and they didn’t come clean. This product is so superior to the previous 2 I had.

After a couple of years thinking about getting an Air Fryer, I finally jumped on the bandwagon. I am hoping to get rid of my microwave once I fully get used to cooking with the air fryer. I didn’t realize that a lot of the frozen foods I buy now have air fryer instructions; but, the one drawback with that is—it could be hit or miss properly cooking your food with those instructions. I am in the experiment phase of adjusting the time and temp for different kinds of food because even the suggested setting on the PXL are hit or miss for me, especially the seafood setting. I am not a convert yet but as I said before I am still learning how to use it and it has been interesting. The Power XL is as stated “XL.” If you typically make one to two servings this would be too big, but if you have a large family or cooking for up to four people then this would be perfect. Also, the PXL is just as loud as a microwave maybe a decibel louder. It is user friendly and rather easy to operate; my only issue is figuring out the proper time and temp for the different food items because some of the preset time and temps on the PXL have not work for me. All and all, I am fairly happy with my purchase.

Works fine, quieter than 5.8 qt purchased some years ago. Older model had a removable divider; this one doesn't. Also 5.8 qt. model came with accessories; 8 qt didn't. Like that it doesn't have a separate basket as does the older 5.8 qt. Much easier to manipulate the 8 qt. with just the single basket. Clean-up is much easier than older model with inner & outer baskets.

Never had an air fryer before. Have used it quite a few times and really like it. As with any other appliance you have to cook with it to get use to it. Pinterest was a Big help with what to cook, time and temp no matter what the model is. Experiment and have fun!!!

I bought it an airfry the fries and it tasted like plastic. I returned it immediately, crappy air fryer

Check the box prior to purchase. This machine was used and returned. Full of grease and bread crumbs.

I love the fact you don’t have to have a lot of cooking oils. That way your food isn’t greasy, it makes your chicken crispy. I love this product.

Great air fryer that has a large enough capacity to do more than mere snacks. Nice features like the digital timer, etc. and easy to clean interior.
