I bought these last week and the first time I bit into a piece I worried about my teeth breaking. The praline coating is so thick that it isn't an enjoyable treat. And, the flavor tastes burnt. I have never returned anything to Sam's, but this item is going back.

I bought only one container as I was not sure I'd like them. I couldn't stop eating them & went back to stock up since they're a "limited time" item. My local Sams had already sold out, as have all the Sams Clubs within a 50 mile radius. Sam's needs to carry these year round.

Agreed...last year's were great...this season the item is horrible. Could break a tooth. Not buttery like last year but hard candy coated. 1/5th or greater is 1/2 to 1 inci hard pieces of the coating. Just disappointed...I bet I purchased 6 containers last year. A big turn off!

I bought these as a shortcut when I was planning on making a pumpkin cheesecake for Thanksgiving - I was going to make a topping and add these for a little crunch. I didn't end up making the cheesecake and I didn't know what I was going to do with such a large jar ... until I tasted them. WOW! I'm not sure what the bitter taste is that some refer to - maybe they got a bad batch? I think you could eat them out of the jar, but I usually take about 1/8 cup and crumble them on top of the kale salad kit that Sam's sells. I take about 1/2 bag of salad, 1 chopped apple, 1 chopped hard-boiled egg and the pecan pieces (the toppings that come with the salad are used elsewhere :). Then I just use a little of the dressing (a little goes a long way with this salad). You have an amazing salad for less than $3 that is better than most salads you can purchase anywhere! At my local Sam's, I saw that these pecans are "for a limited time only". I think I need to get a few jars to last me until next year!

They are great in a trail mix, great on ice cream, cakes cheesecakes or homemade cakes. Loved them for the holidays they gave my banana cheesecake and sweet potato casserole that extra punch it needed for it to disappear. I Pray they stay around ALL YR JUST A GREAT SNACK ALONE. I WILL DEFINITELY PURCHASE EVERY VISIT. Almost out and hopefully I CAN REPURCHASE THIS YR.

I bought these for a Christmas party and had to return- they taste great, if you can get past the VERY hard and sometimes rough exterior of the sugar coating. Whenever you would least expect, you'd crunch down on a really "rocky" nut and almost break a tooth!

The taste is actually pretty good. The product appeared fresh and as advertised. The only real problem, and a deal killer, is the hardness. Neither pralines nor pecans should be hard to chew. This product is like trying to eat peanut brittle. Don't! Leave it on the shelf. Your dentist might not thank you; but your teeth will be much happier.

These are wonderful. Sweet buttery salty perfection. Great out of the jar or on ice cream. I want to get a second jar for cookies - in a toll house cookie base with or without chocolate chips and for pecan pie!! I hope they come out with a spicy version. Same recipe with a touch of cayenne.
