I’d been wanting to try a new birth control and when I saw this was available I jumped at the chance… now granted.. Testing out a birth control to not get pregnant for 3 months is risky. Things go left, maybe you forget like one day.. but I was diligent! Anywho the first pack my period came a little early, and my side effect was nausea. Second month was fine, but I skipped my period. Which scared me a little. Plus I was ultra moody, my boobs were swollen, and just overtly aroused, wasn’t a good time. By pack 3 I got my period. I did have some minor spotting, which was fine… I actually didn’t notice. Now as I work through pack 3 my mood is back to normal and I’m still not pregnant ! Sooo I’ll say it definitely works and I will be buying it again next month.

I was monitoring the headaches and they wouldn't go away so I stopped. They are stored in my sample drawer as of now.

I’ve had some irregular bleeding since starting the pills and also have bouts of nausea from time to time, which has been the worst for me. It’s great that this is now offered over the counter but I probably won’t continue due to the side effects.

It’s simple to take daily, and its effectiveness has been good for my needs. I also appreciate that it’s accessible without a prescription. Personally, I haven’t experienced any poor reactions or noticeable side effects, which has made it easy to stick with. That said, like any medication, individual experiences can vary, but so far it’s worked well for me.

I understand everyone is different when it comes to birth control pills, everyone’s bodies react differently. The instructions on the box are incredibly simple, I love how they explain what to do if you miss a day. The first week I took this medication, I was incredibly emotional. It faded and my body got used to it. I was frequently sexually active and did not get pregnant. I did not spot, I did have a regular period and the pain wasn’t as bad at all. I did bleed the same amount though. The pill is very small, that’s the only complaint I have.

I was already taking a progestin-only pill, so although it's a different formula, the switch was not drastic. After reading a few horror stories on Reddit, I was a little nervous about potentially having unpleasant side-effects, but I need not have worried, because although everyone's body is different, the transition for me was seamless. The only side-effect I noticed was that I had a bit of breast tenderness during my first cycle on Opill, but not on the second two. My period stayed on its regular schedule, with no breakthrough bleeding or other irregularities. I was very pleased with how easy it was to transition. I'm already accustomed to taking my meds at the same time daily, so I had no problem ensuring I took them within the 3 hour window, but that could be an issue for others. The pills themselves are teeny tiny! Even smaller than prescription birth control pills. The blister pack makes it easy to take, but I wish it came with those day-of-the-week stickers for when a Sunday start isn't convenient. Overall, I consider Opill to be a great contraceptive option for those of us who tolerate progestin-only pills well, and I am very glad that it's an option for when it's difficult to optain a prescription for whatever reason.
