I did experience a little spotting in the begging but it leveled out after a few weeks. The days of the weeks are on the back of the package which makes it easy to keep track of.

There are so many good things I could say, it's over the counter (no more annoying appointments), it's quick and easy, only takes 2 days to start working, it's very effective,and there's so much more! The only downside is I think the packaging of the actual pills could be a little better but that's no biggie!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using Opill for about three months now, so I figured it’s a good time to share how it’s going. First off, the fact that you don’t need a prescription is a huge convenience. Getting a doctor’s appointment and a prescription always felt like a hassle. With Opill I could pick it up and get started immediately.  Also, I’ve found that it’s really effective in the materials I read it said when taken exactly on time every day it’s about 98 % effective.  In my personal case, I feel like I’ve been much more relaxed about unwanted pregnancy risk (while still being responsible). What I deal with: It wasn’t totally smooth sailing though. The first week I had a pretty bad headache one morning. I saw other reviews mention similar stuff.  Fortunately it went away after a couple days. Also, my period pattern shifted a little spotting here and there, a lighter flow some months. That seems to be common for progestin only pills like this.  Finally, I do have to really take it at the same time every day. If I mess up the timing by even a few hours I worry about missing efficacy. I’m glad I switched to it and it’s been one of those “right decision” little wins. Just know what you’re signing up for: the timing matters, side effects are mild but real, and you still might want to check in with your healthcare provider about your overall options.

It has control the pregnancy and going strong. Formula is not bad and easy to take. I like how they are packed and easy to dispose . I keep them next to my bed side table for easy access.

For some, it causes random breakthrough bleeding which for me is a deal breaker- randomly bleeding in my clothes isnt something I can continue

I’ve been using Opill since October of this year (2025), and it’s great - very convenient, great price, etc., but as of today I’ve been bleeding for 3 weeks straight. It’s more than spotting, but less than my normal period sometimes. A weird in between where I have to wear a light/regular tampon. It’s frustrating.
