I was really excited when this first came out and saw there was finally an option for birth control over the counter. I am newly living on my own and struggling with health insurance so i thought this would be a life saver. I tried this hoping to protect myself, seeing that many people were experiencing no side effects. I somehow managed to get every side effects imaginable. I am spotting literally every other week, my cramps have shot up significantly in pain to the point that pain meds don't even touch the cramps. The internet told me that my body just needed time to adjust so I continued to take the pill only to find the pain increasing over time. I am also having terrible mood swings, suicidal thoughts, and overall just feel ou of control when it comes to my emotions. I really tried with the opill for 2 and a half months, and i never missed a day, I always took it within an hour of when I am supposed to. But I'm just lying here on my bed crying from the pain. I can't take it any more. I'm glad it works for some people, and I am super grateful there is finally an over the counter birth control option but it i am proof this pill is not for everyone.

This does not at all! It is such a small pill that is so easy to take and so far I have not experienced any side effects! I am so glad we finally live in the future. I switched from the combination pill to this minipill and have loved the change. I dont need a prescription, which means I don't have to waste a day going to an insurance approved doctor. I can just got to the store, grab what I need and be on my way. This option is revolutionary for my lifestyle. I've been taking it for 4 months and so far, it's working! It's also inexpensive. My insurance covers 100% of the price of my BC but it still means that I have to spend so much time, waiting in a doctor's office just to get refills. That is a waste of time and money. I have not had any side effects since I started these. No cramps, acne, nothing. If I didn't have insurance I would definitely recommend and purchase these! They come in a one month supply and a three month supply (they also come with a cute little bag to keep them in). I had the three month box, it had the bag. It is a very small pill that you must remember to take everyday, it’s basic and just like any other birth control pill you might have to get with a prescription. Absolutely amazing that it’s available over the counter, takes out that extra step of having to go to a doctor for this. I did not experience any side effects, but everyone is different. Overall, it did what it needed to do, which is prevent a pregnancy!
