It was all right. I was honestly honestly expecting a little bit more value for the money, but I am very grateful that I had opportunity to try.

I got this the start of Feb 2025. I wanted to take control of my own reproductive health and the reviews were helpful. Sadly we suspect it’s making me very ill. Been throwing up for over a week, crippling nausea, major headaches. No spotting or bleeding. I am due for my period soon so we shall see. But I got a 3 month supply and worried this sick feeling is making it hard to take it. I made sure it wasn’t an unwanted pregnancy and all negative. It’s for sure the meds or a whole new Medical issue. Which sucks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been considering starting birth control again to help alleviate my heavy periods. Coincidentally enough, I received an incentivized package from Opill & Influenster! The box itself has fun cheery colors and it also came with a sticker to stick on your mirror (or wherever you choose) reminding you what time to take your pill each day. The pills come in a tin foil package that are small enough to fit in your wallet even!! Also, each pill pocket is labeled with the day of the week so help you keep track of the days you need to take them. Speaking of small, the pills are so tiny (great for swallowing) making it a bit difficult to handle; try not to let it escape your hands and have it fall in places you don’t want it to fall! I took them for about 2 1/2 months but then I stopped taking them because I felt as though I started having more breakouts. However, I did notice that my period was slightly lighter than normal. One of the best things about this pill, is it only contains Progesterone. This is great for me because I have endometriosis so it actually helps with some of the symptoms associated with it. I didn’t notice any additional side effects from taking Opill besides the breakout.. and even then, it’s summer time so maybe that’s why noticed an increase in breakouts. I may give it a try again in a few more months to see if I begin to breakout again. Overall, I would recommend this convenient method of birth control to most women. It’s a great option for women who don’t have insurance to see a doctor to get a prescription or for the busy mom who doesn’t have time for ANOTHER appointment.

I was so excited to get this OTC. I bought the 3 month pack. The first 2 months were fine, minimal side effects, mostly just breast tenderness/pain, and my period may have been a day or 2 longer. However, I recently started month 3. I got my period 3 weeks ago and it hasn’t stopped. I don’t mean spotting either, like full heavy period for 3 weeks straight now. I went to my OBGYN today because I was worried something was wrong and she said it was due to this pill and she said she isn’t a fan of these progesterone only pills for many reasons. She started me on another combo birth control pill.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a positive experience using the Opill oral contraceptives, and I think it's great to have these as an accessible option for people who want to use oral contraceptives but don't have easy access to prescription-based birth control. Having these as a choice for many people allows them more freedom in their birth control preference. I personally will keep Opill in mind if I'm ever in need of hormonal birth control and don't have the ability to seek medical services to get them.

The dosage is just like your normal dose from a prescription birth control. Also the packaging is too cute and it came with a cute bag to put them in and it’s not very expensive so I’ll definitely will be buying more

SO wanted to love this but the side effects are horrible and by far the worst bc pill I have tried. The worst side effect is continuous bleeding. Background - my normal periods on low dose combo pills is about 5 days and off pills it’s about 6 days but slightly heavier. I wanted to try Opill because I suspected, over time, the estrogen and/or inactive ingredients was causing my mental health to decline. My first period after starting Opill was on time and lasted 11 days of which half was mostly light spotting so that was manageable. Second period was also on time, only 5 days long that incl 2 days of heavy bleeding. Around this time I also started to lose massive amt of hair, developed a ravenous appetite and gained 4 lbs. But the final straw is my current/3rd period that has lasted 20 days (so far!) with a 2 day break in between so 18 days of active bleeding! It’s not super heavy but warrants a normal size pad, not spotting. I have heard other users who are anemic and experienced similar continuous bleeding to have fainting spells and required medical attention or iron treatment. This constant bleeding is a common side effect amongst a number of users sharing their experiences online and should be addressed by Opill. Btw, I never missed a pill and always too them on time. I have no bleeding disorders, healthy weight and lifestyle.
