So, I won't comment on what the oil is made of itself. Instead my review is on using the oil. I do my own oil changes and have been using Pennzoil for a while now. I really like the oil. My car has been running fine and have had no engine issues. I have nothing but a positive experience with Pennzoil. Now, if you want to decide which oil to get my honest opinion is that the brand doesn't really matter. As long as it's a major brand it will be fine. The most important thing is to make sure that you get the right oil. Check your owner's manual or pop the hood. The oil type will be written on the oil cap.

I've never had an issue, oil filters stay clean longer, and engines run smooth. It's easy to pour and my funnel filter is always clean. With regular oil changes, both my vehicles and other equipment are well maintained and last longer - my goal.

The engine performs the same or better in this than with the oil recommended by the manufacturer; the Pennzoil almost makes the engine "purr" softly when idle. From what I've read in studies of different oil manufacturers by independent third parties, Pennzoil is in the top 3-4 overall oils when it comes to engine wear, how clean it keeps the engine, and resistance to breakdown. In other words, it appears to be exceptional value for the quality of the oil.

This is the only brand and type of oil I use in my truck and trust Penzoil over any other brand. My truck alwasy runs smoother, cleaner and gets better gas mileage with Penzoil. I'm always tinkering with mine and my family's vehicles and one thing I always remember to do is to change the oil as it approaches the mileage recommended. While I've used different brands in the past Pennzoil Full Synthetic is top notch in my book! I get the box containing 6, 1 QT bottles of Pennzoil Full Synthetic 5W-20 which gives your vehicle 40% better performance than conventional motor oil. Although this brand has many varieties this particular one offers not only better fuel economy but it will go longer between oil changes, protection in extreme temperatures, conditions older seals as well as protection against sludge & deposit build up. Those being my main concern with my wife and teenagers driving. It's an amazing feeling knowing this trusted company had any consumers worries to a minimum of not gone completely! I am a repeat Pennzoil purchaser but think I'll continue using this particular one for adding oil to doing the works with helping my family with complete oil changes.

The Pennzoil Full Synthetic is just as good as any of the more expensive options like Mobil-1 or Castrol. Oil changes are a great way to keep a car running for a long time and with this oil, I'm not worried about being a few hundred or even a thousand miles late for an oil change.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used Pennzoil Platinum or Pennzoil Ultra in my 3.6L 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee & my wife's 2017 Ford Edge since day one. Both vehicles are now over 90,000 miles and run great. The biggest difference I've noticed between this and oils I've used in the past (in other vehicles) is with cold weather starting. With Pennzoil synthetics both of our vehicles start without hesitation or that dry/clunky noise on winter mornings.
