This is the 2nd time I have ordered a members mark twin xl mattress from Sam’s. The first time it was the 12” and this time it’s the 14”. Both times I received a mattress that was twin size not twin xl, contrary to what the box was marked as. I returned the 12” and now I will be returning this 14”. You cannot use a twin size comfortably on an adjustable split king bed or frame. It’s awful having the pillows falling behind the top of mattress all night. This mattress also has very little foam thickness on the springs, it’s only 4” thick on a 14” thick mattress. The mattress doesn’t even expand larger than 13”. I have enclosed photos of this. It’s so bad that the mattress cover is huge compared to the mattress. I enclosed photos of the length measurements along the top of the mattress and along the bottom of the mattress. Customer service states that the length is +-1” well this is 74” on the top and 77” on the spring side. I have 3” of space between the headboard and mattress with the bed set to flat and you can see in the photos that’s with the spring side up which is the longer of the sides, so compared to my husband’s side which is a foam mattress it’s a big difference. I don’t know what the other sizes of this mattress are like but the twin xl is awful. The springs are felt as the night goes on which I say is because of the lack of foam. This 14” also has less coils then then the 12” according to the product information for both mattresses. Save your money folks, this is not the bargain it seems.

The mattress was prefect at first but has seemed to lose its firmness in the 5 months I've had it. I purchased the medium but feels more like a soft at this point. Has anyone had this issue with theirs? Is the company willing to return the product for a firm in hopes that it will adjust to a Medium or stay firmer? I'm not a heavy person by any measure so the weight is not an issue.

I was nervous about purchasing a mattress online. But this mattress has been a great buy. I needed something that would reduce hip and lower back pain associated with side sleeping. After reading other reviews I decided to give it a try and am so glad I did!

Don't waste your time on this mattress. We had two more delivered after the first one was faulty, the first replacement mattress being both the wrong size and the wrong model. Turns out both the first and the third were faulty. Neither expanded to the full 14" height after more than a week of inflate time, both were 70" instead of 75". The return/replacement process is a nightmare. A private shipping company, which was terrible to deal with, was dispatched to our house to collect the mattress. The first replacement mattress was a California King instead of a twin. Unfortunately, we did not figure this out until it had expanded partially on my child's bed and partially on the floor. When I spoke with someone about the issue, I was told that my child could sleep on the california king on the floor while we awaited the pickup and replacement of the extremely too large mattress. It was a true delight to try and get a fully expanded california king out of the room, down the stairs, and outside for the aforementioned terrible shipping company to come and pick it up. While awaiting the pickup and shipment of the appropriate size model my child was completely blocked out of her room by the mattress and forced to sleep elsewhere. After the third and final mattress arrived we set it up and let it sit for longer than the 3 recommended days. It is still just 12" high and 70" long. It does not come anywhere near filling the cover and no sheets will ever fit it. It will be going back. Both of my adult children have had great success with other Sams mattress models, but do not get this one.

Bought 2 of these for our new houses' guest rooms. After shopping around for a well priced mattress we chose these. Very pleased with the quality and price. Once out of the box we left them overnight to expand. They are very comfortable to lie on. I haven't slept overnight on them, but I have had a lie down to test them. I would buy them again for sure.

Ordered King Medium. This was my first hybrid bed in a box. I have had the mattress for 6ish months... i am a side sleeper. Female, 53, 165 pounds and 5'4. At first it was good...but now my hips and lower back are hurting me. BTW I take Aleve at night too. The mattress has nothing wrong with it...no sag or indent. Just not working for side sleeping.

This is my initial reaction; we chose the Queen Firm - I was worried about the firmness (specifically that the mattress would be way too soft). The rating scale of 1-10 seemed subjective (Medium was 5-6 & Firm was 7-8). Our old traditional mattress was called ‘Firm’ by Sealy and it felt like lying on a brick while sleeping even though there was a cushioned feel if you pushed down while standing next to the bed. My wife and I are in our 60’s and have developed shoulder pain recently from sleeping on that mattress. The Members Mark Hybrid ’Firm’ is perfect … stable but like a pillow-top topper that gives for comfort and support but gently firm below. In the box it was very heavy but unboxing was easy. The air rushed in quickly when vacuum seal was opened and it came into shape quick. Two of the corners aren’t perfect but it’s not a glaring defect - just a small folded and puckered spot. It’s going to be covered by sheets and blankets so it is a big non-issue. The cooling top is nice. I reasoned that we’ll spend 30% of our lives on this mattress so it will be worth the investment to be comfortable. If our sleep experience isn’t good then I’ll update my review but so far - I think this mattress and firmness choice will turn out to be perfect.

Hotel premier hybrid firm mattress. I purchased this mattress about 5 months ago and immediately noticed it was crooked the foam and coils didn't line up on some of the edges which resulted in one side of the mattress having no coils under the foam and caused it to gave way as soon as you sat on the edge. Husband already fell off the bed twice because of this, but the only reason we kept this long is because it took us so long to look for a mattress in the first place, we live 24 miles away from the store, and retuning it required us finding time and a vehicle big enough to transport back to the store. When you lie on the bed where all layers line up it is actually very comfortable which is why we found this so dissapointing going through the hassle of returning it and looking for a different mattress which we are still in the process of. If i could be garanteed this wouldn't happen again I would probably get it again since it was comfortable, but buying it and having to return it again if it comes out poorly assembled again is just not something I want to deal with.

I love this bed! I was weary about buying a bed in a bag but decided to give it a whirl. I will never look back about buying a mattress from a bed store. I am pleasantly surprised with how easy and efficient it was to put up. I was able to sleep on it the same night, but it continued to firm up for the next 3 days or so. I bought the firm for my room while my husband bought the medium for his room. I had back surgery about 2 years ago and my old mattress was 11 years old. This is my first time buying a firm bed. Now, the firmness will be a perceived feeling, but it is like a hotel mattress. It conforms to the body but doesn’t sink in. It is perfect for me and supports my back and hips perfectly. The medium also feels supportive but it conforms a bit more to the body and has a bit more give in the mattress. I have no aches or pains on either bed but the firm is more supportive for me and better on my joints. My husband prefers the medium but likes the firm, too. It really is just a matter of preference. Overall, medium is a perfect bed but the firm is more supportive for my condition. I’m very pleased with my purchase

If you buy the Ultra Plush, expect a SUPER SOFT mattress. In fact it is so soft, it feels like it is actually hurting rather than helping since there is virtually no support. We like a plush mattress but this is nuts. When you lie on it, and we are not big people, from the side you can only see 80% of us. Medium firm is probably the best. The other issue is sheets staying on. The cover is incredibly slick and the sheets slip off with ease. You will need a zip-on mattress cover that has some friction to keep the sheets from slipping off the corners. All it takes is getting in the bed and a corner will come off. We have the right sized, deep pocket sheets (from Sams). If your weight is in the 100 to 120 pound range, you may not sink like a rock. An average adult (I weigh 190), I am in a hole. This one is going to being returned.
