Because they're long they give you full complete coverage. This size is perfect for those times when you are just can't get to the bathroom or at night when you're trying to get up to go to the bathroom and you are afraid you might not make it. Because they have the complete full coverage you don't have the leakage from the back or from the front when you're sleeping. I really like these for travel because sometimes it is hard to find a place to stop to go to the restroom and so this is the perfect pad that will give you that security until you can find a bath room. However, the large size is a bit too bulky for my personal comfort. While it offers great coverage, it feels thicker and longer than I prefer, which can be noticeable when wearing more fitted clothing. If you’re looking for maximum absorbency and don’t mind a larger pad, this could work well, but for everyday comfort I’d probably choose a smaller size.

They definitely do their job — no leaks, no awkward smells, and they keep you feeling dry even on those “better-safe-than-sorry” days. Honestly, the absorbency is chef’s kiss. You could probably survive a sneeze marathon without worry. That said, they’re just a little too bulky for my liking. I feel like I’m walking around with a small throw pillow in my underwear.
