Great tires poor service

Great tires but unfortunately they went on sale 3 days after I purchased. Went back to get a credit and they wouldn’t give it to me. Frustrating on a $1k set of tires

Driveguard run flats for my mini

Don’t normally like run flats, but took apiece of metal out in the middle of nowhere. These were great. The best for run flats.

New Tires

Great service from Dubois County Tire on helping me select a Run Flat Tire. Previous Run Flat Tires have saved me twice before. No rim or body damage either time while running at highway speeds when tire went down and was able to continue on towards our destination. Highly recommend these type tires.

Much improved

I drove on Driveguards previous version (2 sets in fact) and was never truly satisfied. They produced some road noise and never felt smooth/comfortable. The new 'plus' tire is much improved in these 2 features, and seems to maintain all other positives. This might be the best run flat tire out there now - certainly for the price!

New Driveguard Plus tires

Just had these put on my 2006 Mazda Miata. Have not driven any miles yet. I chose these because I needed a "run flat" tire and Bridgestone has a great reputation. Also, I was impressed with the tread design. Should be excellent for "wet" traction and should fight hydroplaning. I noticed that they were really quiet on the ride home!!Dennos

Cadillac ats

The run flat tires are great but they are so noisy, it sounds like I'm driving a 4 wheel truck. Traction is great and very positive on cornering. Haven't driven in snow yet but my ATS is all wheel drive so it should be good. I wish I purchased a spare tire and went without run flat tires. I just hate the road noise from them.

First experience with Drive Flat design

The tire sales person talked me into getting the DriveGuard Plus since the cost was only about $25 more than the other Bridgestone tires he offered without the drive flat capability. The ride from the new tires is not as smooth as with the old Bridgestone tires (Ecopia) I was used to. I realize the tire design is such that the drive flat capability requires the sidewalls to be stiffer. That results in the irregularities in the road surfaces to create a bumpier ride. If I ever need to drive on a flat tire it will be worth it to have lost the smoother ride. It is not clear what the impact of the rougher ride will be on the suspension, shocks and struts, but now I am worried about that. Time will tell!

Initial impressions

Trying the new drive guard plus tires after two previous sets of driveguards. So far the plus tires seem to have a bit more precision in regards to handling twisty dry roads. Only one drive in rain and they performed well at highway speed. Only gripe so far is they are a bit rougher over expansion joints than the original driveguards. Am curious how they manage in a Northern Minnesota winter.

Sidewall Bubbles

I just bought a pre-owned CTS that had the Driveguard tires on it. They were new enough that the tires still had the nubs on them and full tread. After about 500 miles, I notice a bubble in the right front tire. I was told, second owner NO warranty. A week later, that tire blew. Drive flat feature was great. Replaced that tire with a new one. Now I noticed ANOTHER bubble in the driver side front tire, and still no offer of assistance from the warranty department! I'll never buy another tire from Firestone.

Run as fast as you can away from Driveguard

I purchased four of these tires and they did not make it 10k miles. In just 2 years, two of the tires had a tread rating of 3/32 and the other 2 had a tread rating of 4/32. Hard to be loyal to a tire that has zero durability Upon calling the warranty department, they informed that their tires aren't guaranteed for the 50K mileage that they generously market to consumers. They would only prorate one tire. And they wouldn't even address the wear on the others by standing by their product. What product do you know only last 10% of it's expected life, yet the manufacturer wants you to spend good money over bad to replace them? Buyer beware on both the tire and the manufacturer.
