My dentist recommended I use a sonicare toothbrush years ago. I purchased a different electric toothbrush without sonic technology at a much lesser price, thinking it would be just as effective in improving my overall dental health. I received a free sample of this Philips toothbrush in exchange for this review. The product came already charged and I enjoyed getting to use it right away. I quickly discovered that this toothbrush removes more plaque and whitens my teeth better than any other toothbrush I've used before. It did take some time getting used to the intense sonicare vibrations, as well as the fact that it is louder than my previous electric toothbrush. However, I am well accustomed to it now. My favorite feature is the gum care setting as I have very sensitive gums that are prone to bleeding when brushing. Thanks in part to the pressure sensor, the bristles are extremely gentle on my teeth and dental work, causing no gum irritation at all. I also love that I can actually see the microbubbles working between my teeth and around my orthodontics, helping me get the deep clean I desire. I appreciate the Brushsync replacement reminder as well, because I no longer have to guess when my brush head needs replacement. Overall, I think this Philips sonicare toothbrush is a wonderful product, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their oral care routine.

Been using it for 1-3 months! Cleans well! Easy to use! I like the option of different settings. The charge lasts such a long time! It looks very sleek as well and looks good in the bathroom. I have had other brands and this one is more superior. I will stay with this brand! Worth the money!

My dentist has been recommending an electric toothbrush and I was so excited to receive this Philips PotectiveClean 6100 Sonicare for free to try. After just a few uses, I could already feel how much cleaner my teeth were. Also, as an avid coffee drinker I was really excited about it`s whitening affects. It`s only been a week but I can definitely tell my teeth are whiter than they were before. This brush has definitely made me a believe in electric toothbrushes and I think my next cleaning at the dentist will go a lot better :)

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. What I like about this Philips Sonicare toothbrush is that it's a well made toothbrush. The first thing I noticed is that it looks and feels like a high quality toothbrush. It came charged, so I could use it right away. The instructions are easy to understand. My favorite feature is the quadpacer. So that you brush all of your teeth for the same amount of time, it has an internal timer and will beep and make a brief pause to let you know when it's time to brush the next area. It has different intetvals for each brushing mode. The are 3 brushing modes,which are clean mode, white mode, and gum care mode. It lets you know when the brush head needs to be replaced. It also has a pressure sensor that lets you know if you're brushing too hard. Overall, I like the toothbrush very much. My only critique would be that since I have very sensitive teeth, initially it was a bit strong and took a little getting used to compared to a regular toothbrush. It's so much better than a regular toothbrush, though. I was amazed at how much better my teeth and mouth feel after brushing with the sonicare compared to a regular toothbrush.

The Philips Sonicare toothbrush is great! I will start by mentioning that I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review. It is a lightweight, long, lean tooth cleaning machine. It has 3 settings which each serve a different purpose (clean, white, gums.) My teeth feel clean and smooth after each use. I have not yet noticed any difference in my teeth or gums, but I am confident and hope there may be improvement after a few more weeks. This model comes with a handy, dandy carrying case, which is quite useful as it arrived the day before a trip. I usually end up packing my toothbrush wrapped in tissue or paper towel, so the case was helpful. And it has room to carry two toothbrush heads, if you’re traveling with a companion who you would be comfortable sharing the base device with. I will say it tickles my gums as I used it, but not in a bad way, just different than I’ve felt with similar brands. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a high end rechargeable toothbrush.

First I will say that I use electric toothbrushes on a regular basis already, as my dentist has recommended this and I have found that they do a much better job of cleaning teeth than the manual ones. This particular brush, however, is much better than those that I have purchased before. First, I really like the sleek, slim design, especially since it sits on the counter in the bathroom. It is very lightweight, which I also appreciate because I have wrist arthritis which can make things difficult to grasp. Next, I really LOVE the timing mechanism that lets you know when to move to the next “quadrant” of teeth so that you brush as long as you need to - and you have the option to time it longer for better whitening effect. Let’s face it, no one accurately counts seconds when brushing teeth, so this does it for you to ensure you do it properly! Finally, it is obvious that the bristles of the whitening brushhead are very effective. Honestly, I can say that after brushing with the 6100 my teeth feel and look more clean and polished than with any other toothbrushes that I have used at home. I do want to mention that I have also used a whitening toothpaste in conjunction with the brush over the last 10 days. If I had children still at home, I would absolutely insist that they use this brush to ensure they brushed their teeth long enough and effectively.

I received this product in exchange for writing a review and was perhaps a little more excited than I should have been, because I was actually unhappy with the toothbrush I was using at the time and had been searching for a new one. And then this fell into my lap! Overall, I was truly pleased with the toothbrush. My teeth are stubbornly on the yellow side and have remained so despite several attempts to whiten them but after using this toothbrush once, I could swear they looked cleaner. Not to say, I was ready for a white teeth commercial, but after two weeks, I really can see a noticeable difference. Modes: the toothbrush has three modes: clean, white, and gum care. The real difference here is just length the brush stays on but I like that it's timed, because it encourages me to brush longer, which I hate in general. Supposedly you're supposed to use a different brush for these modes but I only have one. I imagine it might be frustrating to change brushes for different modes but only used whitening. It does has three speeds or strengths which is a nice option if you want more clean or are having some sensitivity and that was easy to use. Brush Shape: The brush on this on somewhat oval, like a traditional toothbrush and while I like this in general and feel like it fits in my mouth, I did struggle to make it fit well on the backs on my lower front teeth. You can turn the brush, but it just doesn't fit perfectly, at least in my mouth, which is on the small size. So, on the pro side, I like the different cleaning options and for me, it really did make a difference in the look and feel of my teeth. My only real cons are it doesn't fit perfectly in my mouth and for some reason when I brush, in the front, if I don't keep my mouth closed, toothpaste splatter flies out, even when I only use a small amount which is a little annoying. For me though, the effectiveness makes up for having to wipe down my mirror every now and then!

The ProtectiveClean 6100 Sonicare toothbrush was super easy to assemble and it came already charged for immediate use. There are 3 modes for brushing: clean, white & gum care. After cleaning your teeth you can change the mode to white to brighten up your front teeth and/or gum to massage your gums. Both of these added features are appealing to me because I'm a big time coffee drinker and I'm self-conscious that my teeth are not white enough. Also, I was recently told by my dentist that my gums are beginning to recede, so the gum feature to stimulate & massage my gums can be helpful in preventing further receding. My favorite feature is the Quadpacer, which beeps every 30 seconds so that you can evenly brush each of the 4 sections of the mouth. I like this feature because I know my teeth and mouth are getting a thorough cleaning. This product also comes with a travel case, however, I probably won’t use it. I don’t travel often and when I do, it’s usually for just a couple of days. During my time away, I use a manual toothbrush which I will most likely continue to use. But, if I change my mind, then it’s nice to have the travel case which will fit the Sonicare perfectly. My one (small) issue with this product is that I keep pressing the wrong button to power the toothbrush. The power button is located above the cleaning/intensity mode button. It might just be the way I hold the brush but I keep accidentally changing the cleaning/intensity mode when I really want to power on or off the brush. I guess it's just something I'll need to get used to! I truly appreciate the opportunity to receive the ProtectiveClean 6100 Sonicare tooth brush for my unbiased review. I had been using an older model of the Sonicare; I think it's part of the "E" series, so it's nice to get an upgrade! The ProtectiveClean 6100 definitely meets my expectations for a Sonicare toothbrush and the Philips brand. My first Sonicare was originally referred to me by my dentist, and I’ve always been pleased with the quality of the toothbrush and how well it cleans my teeth and mouth. I’m confident that the 6100 will exceed my expectations because it has added features and newer technology then my original Sonicare

I received a free unit for product testing to review, but this toothbrush exceeded expectations of what a powered toothbrush can do. The most impressive features were the quadpacer and the pressure sensitivity. It was very helpful to know that I may have been brushing too hard at times, and the brush pulses when too much force is being used. Similarly the quadpacer is a great reminder to brush each area of your mouth equally instead of guesstimating while doing it manually. Although, I would have liked some additional time added for tongue cleaning. It`s great for teeth cleaning and breaking the mouth into quadrants and areas, but would have to restart to add additional tongue brushing. Teeth felt cleaner after each brush. Have only used it the brush for about 10 days so haven`t seen much in the sense of whitening so I can`t speak to that impact. The lighting on the brush can be bright. The replacement heads are more expensive. When brushing, I seemed to gleek more if my mouth wasn`t fully closed. All in all, very pleased with the brush. Interested to see if the whitening improves and how the next dental check up goes after using this brush extensively.
