With some research there may be better discounts available elsewhere. Sams used to be around 5% discount, recently it was 4 %, plus they charge for delivering the gift card. Rarely find the $500 card at the store. The smaller amount multi card packets are normally the same discount.

It's difficult to find savings for a Disney World trip. We purchased over $3000 in gift cards, and saved about 5% off our trip. We were able to pay for our trip using the gift cards with our travel agent. We saved just over $150 purchasing gift cards from Sams Club, plus we paid for the gift cards using a credit card that we earn money back on, too. We will defiantly purchased Disney Gift Cards from Sams Club again.

$500 goes very quickly at the Disney parks. Especially for the Epcot Food & Wine Festival. I also bought one for the Monorail Pub Crawl and most of it was gone after visiting 6 bars. I do find it annoying to have to transfer the emailed certificate to an actual gift card, which requires going to guest services and waiting in a line. But it’s equivalent to a free drink at the parks, so it is what it is!

My daughter and grandson are planning a long awaited trip to Disneyland at Halloween and this gift card certainly helped in what can be a very expensive trip. My only peeve was that compared to other Disney gift cards of lesser value I was not able to send this card via email --granted it came by Fedex but I did have concerns that it might get lost(it didn't)

We have a large family so it was very hard for us to take our children on their dream vacation to Disney.
