"Island Joe's Jamaican Beef Patties" are not "authentic" Jamaican patties in looks, taste, or ingredients, and they contain CYANIDE. I bought a box at Sams Club, and the 1st thing I noticed was the small size and flat shape of the patty. Then after baking it, the taste was nothing like a real Jamaican patty. It lacks the proper ingredients, but it did have pepper in it. Then I decided to read the ingredients on the box and saw that it has "CYANOCOBALAMIN"! If you research that ingredient, you'll see that it's "derived from including a CYANIDE group!"

Going up my friends grandma, and mom are from Jamaica. And make Jamaica patties for us. Grew up on them. Since I've moved away, have been missing them. OMG.! Found these beautiful babies @ Sams. Wow, just like true Authentic Jamaica patties. Brings back fond memories, thank you so very much ISLAND JOES, & SAMS.!!!!

Garbage

I did not like these, but I do not like anything similar to it. But this was to HOT also, but it is cajun style , so probalbly needs to be good and hot. My husband and Son Loved them, my son loves everything about them, no too hot, meat had great taste to him.

First Jamaican patties I've tried and they were good I thought. Well it's a drive for me, so I ended up buying them from my local grocery store. Even though it's almost $5 increase in price, I will never buy these again. The new to me brand is seasoned much better and more filling. It's the flavor for me.

I am a busy college student and these Jamaican patties are great for on-the-go. I pop it in the air fryer, warm on the inside and crispy crust on the outside. Easy to hold in your hand, and holds me over until dinner or I have as a study snack. Great with a soda or iced tea. Sooo delicious! Thanks Sam's Club for having this awesome product.

This is not very tasty! The crust is bland. The inside contents look like smashed refied beans. The cooking time was 22 minutes. I had my son try them as well. I love Mexican food so I thought it would be something I would enjoy. However it was not for me.
