WOW WOW WOW! These are really good! With a flaky crust reminiscent of a breakfast pastry and a lot of filling these beef patties make a great snack for hungry teenage boys! But believe the "spicy" label. It was a little more heat than I expected but the flavor was great!

I got this box of turnovers because I really enjoy meat pies. The turnovers come individually packaged and with instructions on cooking in an oven, an air fryer and a microwave. I cooked mine in the air fryer according to instructions and it was cooked perfectly. The flavor is good, I was hoping for a little more spice, but it was tasty. It could use a sauce as it is a little dry, so I will use some fresh salsa on the next one. They are quick and easy to prepare and are an excellent choice for a short lunch break.

Island Joe's beef patties were very good. Make sure you like spicey because these patties definitely have a kick to them. Easy to prepare, we used an fryer and they were ready to go in 12 minutes. Definitely recommend this product for an easy quick tasty meal.

Spicy Beef Turnovers are recommended to do in a air fryer. The flavor & texture definitely were a miss! Although they advertise as “spicy”, they tasted bland and definitely needed help in the kick department. The crust for the turnover was crispy when prepared as directed. Throw on some salsa, guacamole and sour cream and you have a quick and easy meal!

If you like spicy and I mean spicy food this is for you. The flavor is really good but I couldn’t get past the very spicy meat. So I had my husband try this as he likes his food spicer than I do and it was even too spicy for him. So if you are someone who really enjoys HOT and SPICY THIS IS DEFINITELY for you.

These heated up nicely in the air fryer - followed the directions on the box. Nice, crispy, flaky crust surrounding well seasoned, balanced beef filling. The filling is a little on the spicy side but not so much that it is a "lip burner." The filling texture was a little pasty but was a nice contrast to the crust. Looking forward to trying to microwave since they are fully cooked. The box says they are ready to eat in 2 minutes but both sets of instructions take at least 12 minutes. Fairly filling - one was enough for a lunch.

We were very excited to try this product. We cooked them in the oven the first time we ate them. The crust was nice and flaky and the insides hot. The meat appeared to be good quality and we enjoyed them. We microwaved them the next time we ate them. They were just as tasty but the crust was not as enjoyable. The filling is nicely blended so you don't run into any chunks. These were a bit spicy, but expected, given their name.

Product was packaged very well and the directions were easy to follow.We used the baking method as directed and each pattie came out golden brown. The texture of the crust was flakey and the meat layer was heated through. The meat was quite spicy {medium hot).

Inside filling is tasty good and outer pastry shell is a little sweet and crumbly. I did choose to bake in the oven rather than air fryer. After a few bites I did a salsa on top for the moisture and spice up a bit. Overall okay I think adding a dipping sauce would be Beneficial and bring it all together. Just a little bland for my taste on their own.

The product was used for a small gathering amongst friends. I was surprised with the compliments. Most ask if I bought them from a local favorite Jamaican restaurant in my area. When I told them that these was frozen and where they could get them , they were amazed.
