I am sorry to say that my great expectations of eliminating my lower back pain I experienced with my previous mattress were not met with this new Tempur-pedic. I believe that this may be due to the fact that the mattress delivered to me did not offer to me the same degree of firmness as did the mattress in the showroom.

The adjustable base helped me to get in and out of bed easier & I could put the back up to help me get more comfortable.

No more waking up with back-aches and not feeling like we were rested any longer. I love the fact that it keeps me cool at night and I am able to get a full night's rest. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used memory foam mattresses for years in my whole family. This mattress blows all of those other ones out of the water. At first we were a little skeptical about the firmness. Upon laying on the bed at first it feels like it is going to be a hard mattress, but as you lay on it you can feel your body kind of sinking into it. The mattress really does conform to your body. I used to toss and turn all night long trying to find a comfortable spot to sleep in. With this mattress I roll onto my side and I move maybe once during the night to readjust myself, because I no longer feel the aches from being in the same position while sleeping. I love that this mattress does not cause any aches and pains while sleeping in one spot for hours. I can even fall asleep better with this mattress. I have a hard time with falling asleep at night, but I get so comfortable and relaxed in this mattress that that hasn't been an issue. I used to have to take Melatonin just to be able to fall asleep. With this new mattress that has not been an issue for me. The one downside I think of this mattress has is the thickness. I personally prefer a thicker mattress, and a higher bed. That is a small issue in the grand scheme of things and I would choose a comfortable mattress over the depth of a mattress for visual reasons. I would recommend this mattress for anyone who wakes up with everyday aches and pains, because they WILL be gone. You will wake up refreshed and well rested! My husband and I purchased this mattress after extensive research. We were on a mattress that was uncomfortable and we just dreaded going to bed. When we decided to purchase our Tempur-Adapt Medium and slept on it we were thoroughly ecstatic! Our sleepless nights turned into let's just stay in bed and enjoy our comfortable mattress! We recommend this mattress to all of our friends and family!

When my husband and I first purchased this mattress we were in love. It was wonderful for the first 2 years. Now currently on year 5 and my husband and I both prefer to sleep on the couch. The mattress has become so uncomfortable, my husband will wake up with tingling arms and stiff neck. I wake up with shooting lower back pain. So disappointing after spending so much on this mattress that we truly only got 2 good years before it went down hill. For reference my husband and I are only in our early 30's and otherwise healthy adults, just made the worse decision to buy this expensive mattress.

We got a queen size Adapt Medium Hybrid mattress and foundation. It's so comfortable! I had a hard time finding a mattress that works for me (I like medium soft) and my spouse (who likes medium firm). This mattress has us both happy. We sleep on our backs, sides, and stomachs and have had a really hard time finding the right mattress. You slightly sink into the top layer and can feel the mattress cradle your whole body...right down to your feet. It has a little bit of "give" overall...I think because of the coils in our hybrid version. To me, it has a plusher feeling than the all foam version. My spouse has had two back surgeries...in the lumbar and cervical areas and is happy with the level of support in this mattress. We didn't want to get out of bed this am. (I also appreciate that it's cool to the touch.) We're thankful we found this mattress.

i bought the pillow with the mattress and glad I did. They work together to align my body perfectly. No more knee pain or sinus congestion waking me in the night. Worth every cent! It takes at least a week to "break it in". The mattress is hard the first few nights- I was advised by my sales person to walk on it- yes- stand on it and walk on it! it is essential in getting the mattress to the feel of the same you laid on.

The mattress is comfortable, but every set of sheets and mattress protectors (including the Tempur-Protect Mattress Protector) we've used are so slippery that they move all night long. The Tempur-Protect Mattress Protector was supposed to be non-slip, but it it is just as slippery as the other much less expensive ones we've tried.
