We purchased our mattress in December of 2016 and I was excited to try it out. I was hoping that the memory foam would help with my shoulders, low back, etc. My husband didn't have any issues. When we went to the store to check the mattresses out, the salesman made a big deal about us laying down on the mattresses so we could select the one that best fit our needs. Well the Medium firm mattress felt wonderful. And we laid on it for quite a while. We also tried the Soft one and it was very soft and didn't seem to have any support. So after discussing with the salesman, he said that it would probably take 60 days to break in the mattress so that it would be like the one we tried in the store. And if we were not happy with it, we could return it for a different one. Within 30 days, both my husband and I could hardly walk when we got up in the morning. The mattress was so hard. I put a foam pad on it and that helped a little. So we went back to the store to see if we could get a different one. They said we should give it more time and that we should not have added the foam - well they weren't sleeping on the darned thing. They also said we could trade it in for the Soft mattress but it would cost more money. I was really frustrated. The thing already cost us an arm and a leg, I felt we had already paid too much and didn't want to pay more money only to find out the soft one wouldn't work either. They also said that the reason the medium mattress felt so good at the store was because so many people had laid on it, trying it out, so it was broken in really good. So we went home disappointed and feeling like we were ripped off and determined to make the mattress work for us so we didn't have to pay more money to the store. After 90 days, the mattress was still as hard as it had been day 1. So we put the foam pad back on it. It has now been over 2 years and it is still as hard as it was on day 1. And yes, the foam pad is still on there. With the foam pad, we aren't limping out of bed. I firmly believe we were delivered the hard mattress. Lessons learned - (1) it does not help to try out mattress in the store, as they are not what you will receive; (2) don't believe the salesman when he says you can bring it back, there will be a catch; (3) buy a cheaper mattress so you can afford to get another one when the new one doesn't work out. I'm writing this at 1:30 am because I can't sleep, my shoulders are aching from laying on the mattress.

We bought the Adapt split king. The mattress makes the worst noise when you move around. The two mattresses separate and leave a 5 inch gap every night! The mattress is more like a medium-firm. I would rate it's firmness a 8 which is too hard. The floor model was softer but of course it had been layered on for years. I owned a BeautyRest before this and wish I hadn't got rid of it. I'm so sick of this mattress.

In my first week of sleep on this mattress..getting used to it. I sell this mattress in a furniture store and wanted one myself. I have a hybrid and had switched from an innerspring mu whole life. I was generally a side sleeper and now find myself sleeping on my back to become accepted into the memory of the bed. As I spend more time sleeping on the bed I know it will soften as the showroom model is softer.. So all is good here:...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There was no breaking in period or off gassing! The mattress and sleep where perfect starting on night one. I have a queen-medium firmness, and it supports my lower back and curves just enough without letting them sink to deep. It truly does form to your body in all the right way, without feeling any other sleepers in the bed. Even when my 100lb dog jumps in at night, I don't feel it.

I haven't slept on it yet, but the serial number to register for warranty was under the mattress at the head. I bought a king so after I put the protector on I say down to register. You need to move that tag!!! I hurt my back lifting the king mattress by myself. I have no one to help. If I knew about this when they delivered. I could have easily written it before they put it in place!!! Move the tag. I will speak to the dealer about advising customers about this!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We could not be happier with our Tempur-Adapt Medium Hybrid mattress. Picked the hybrid because we wanted a little more support than just foam. Mattress forms to our bodies and gives support where you need it. It is very stable, can't even feel partner moving. It starts out a little to firm for our liking, but breaks in and gets softer. Best sleeper have ever had!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this mattress and was excited to get it. I was aware upfront that it takes a little breaking in, but it's well work the effort. It is a firmer mattress, but contours to your body perfectly to allow for the spine to be supported appropriately. My morning back pain has significantly decreased. My only issue is specifically with the one that I purchased. One side has broken down considerable more than the other and to roll from one side to the other is like climbing over a fence. It's almost as if it had been pre-owned and they sent me one that had been returned during the 30 trial period, which is a purchasable option in the store. I did email this information previously, but never heard back from anyone, so I was a little disappointed in that.

My husband has an acid reflux and the head elevation helps him sleep better. The massage and zero gravity features are great especially when you're feeling tired. So far we've been using the bed for almost a month now and I don't find anything wrong with it. It's comfortable and easy to use.

I am giving it three stars because I feel that the mattress is too firm for what we wanted and the Tempur-Adapt does not have a softer option. We are considering returning because we want to be in love with our mattress at the price we've paid.
