OMG! OMG! I've heard of a few love-hate relationships with owners of Tempur-Pedic mattresses over the years, but I'm here to tell my story. As a new owner of the Adapt Hybrid I'm sold! This is the most comfortable mattress that I've ever owned, and I've owned a few over my lifetime. Furthermore, it's affordable! Thank you Tempur-Pedic for providing your customers with an unbelievable sleeping experience.

My experience has been bad. I bought the mattress from a local mattress company. When I started to have back problems, I called the number for Tempur-Pedic that said "Need Help? Talk to a sleep Expert." They refused to help me other than to tell me to call the mattress store since I did not buy the mattress direct from Tempur-Pedic. When one spends a lot of money to buy an expensive mattress, one would want to try it out first and you can't do that by ordering it directly from the manufacturer, I would think. I think I got the run around from Tempur-Pedic. I spent a lot of money for an expensive mattress and they only were willing to talk about if there was a factory defect. A back problem was a "comfort" issue and I was told to call the mattress store. The most useful comments suggested below says to contain specific information: How this product has changed my life: I have a back problem now. I don't know if it was coincidental with the purchase of the Tempur-Pedic mattress. But despite giving a phone number to call for help, I felt that they blew me off. Things you love about it: Nothing Things you don't love about it: I spent a lot of money to get a superior mattress, and I don't know if it is contributing to my back problem or not, but Tempur-Pedic in my opinion is giving me no useful help.

The mattress is comfortable. My husband, though, seems to get really hot and has sweated through the sheets. Luckily, we have a waterproof mattress protector. Yet, I thought there was supposed to be a layer of cooling gel to prevent such sweating. It's barely the "warm season" in Michigan.

I've suffered with osteoarthritis in my back for 10 years. Therapy, medication and exercise did little to alleviate the pain. Then I discovered Tempurpedic mattress. I highly recommend this mattress for those who suffer from lower back pain. Its well worth the price to be able to rise each morning pain-free. This mattress plus daily exercise prevents me from requiring back surgery.

I had made the mistake of listening to online reviews for a bed in a box hybrid mattress that was supposed to be excellent for side sleeping and back issues. Unfortunately for me it was horrible and so incredibly uncomfortable I sent it back after one month. I have Degenerative Disc Disease and a arthritis, so I'm used to sleeping with pain. After many months of trying out every store brand possible I finally gave in and bought the Tempurpedic Adapt all foam. We've had it for just over a week and I literally can't wait to go to bed every night. I have not awakened with hip or back pain one night. The mornings are so much better being able to get out of bed easily not crawl. I'm just kicking myself, that I didn't purchase this mattress years ago!!! Saving up now to get the adjustable base. Little more expensive than some other brands, but worth every penny.

the adapt medium has really helped my back ache from any mattress i have had, i enjoy going to bed now instead of dreading it . im not sure yet about the firmness, i have had firm mattresses before this is suppose to be medium and still to me is firm. im hoping it just has to be slept in awhile. i might have to exchange for a softer one but will definatel be tempur the quality is just unbelievable and the company is just so awesome with there customer service.

Haven't had a bad night of sleep yet. Only thing I will say is the mattress made us realize how bad our pillows are! We will be upgrading to the tempurpedic pillows as soon as possible! 1 hour of sleep on a tempurpedic equals 6 hours on a traditional mattress. It's in the math people! Quality of sleep gives you quality of life!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took a few days to get use to the firm feel even though this is a medium mattress. It is totally different from any other mattresses. I love it now! I sleep like a baby most nights. The best part is that it never feels like I'm sleeping on indentations. It always pops back to a flat surface. I also have the power adjustable base that I use sometimes, but without it I still sleep great. A+

The mattress they recommended is awful. Couldn't sleep on it. Called them,chatted with them. Asked to return. I'm sitting here with a worthless mattress and nobody has helped to start a return. A whole week and I'm told I'll hear back by Oct 6th. What???? I would have upgraded to a more expensive mattress but no one seems to want my purchase. I have a credit line with Wells Fargo for the upgrade. They have lost a long time customer. Unheard of behavior.

Our mattress started out great but after a couple of years my wife started complaining about back pain. We are discovering that she is sinking towards me now while sleeping. The mattress loses its support over time and Tempur Pedic knows it! They have explicit statements in their 10 year warranty (which we were unaware of) that don't cover changes in firmness/support and they will only honor the warranty if your mattress is sagging more than 3/4"!!! That is ridiculous and just shows that they know their mattress won't last! Ours is sagging ~1/2" at the moment but the firmness / support is what matters more and they don't care about that! So just passing on our experience so that you also don't assume that Tempur Pedic is a reputable brand and decide to spend over $2K on a mattress that you will have to discard in a couple of years. Most of the positive comments here are only within the first year but if you look through the bad ratings you'll find some people that cared enough to come back and try to warn you. Read the warranty before you buy and see for yourself!
