This product comes in three one-pound packs. The pack in the middle had a much different appearance than the other two packs, and tasted a lot more salty. I'll explain. When I make bacon I make all the packs at one time. I lay the strips on a a mesh grate that sets inside a half-sheet baking pan. 400 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes, depending on the thickness of the strips. This process is repeated until all packs are done. During this process, I had some strips from the first pack, and some strips from the second pack on the same rack. When I pulled this batch out of the oven, there was a distinct difference in the color of the strips from pack one and pack two. Pack two looked light brown (tan?) compared to the natural reddish bacon color of pack one. The pack two strips were much more difficult to remove from the rack. They stuck to the rack and broke easily. Most of them came off in little pieces.

This past year the bacon quality has gone downhill from inconsistent slice, thick, thin, to you can see they the slice which makes it very hard to cook consistently. This last go round two of the packages had just fat sliced and placed in the package, not attached to any of the slices. I weighed the last one 2.41 ounces. Not buying this anymore. I got pics but nowhere to post during review.

This bacon has a good flavor but it is sliced so thin that it shrinks to nothing when cooked. I won’t buy again.

More fat than meat. Hoping the next two are better quality since they come in a pack of three.
