Excellent operation in setup and viewing. One thing, the firmware needs to be updated on the MCU to have more selections of viewing IE: Picture views of 1-8 of the hardwired cameras and 4 wireless. A diagram of 1-12 and option of rolling selections of what user chooses. With current firmware wireless pix cannot be manipulated. IE move to a new position. But besides that great equipment, I have been using Night Owl since early 2000’s

It fulfills it purpose of being a completely wire free camera that you can place anywhere within the range of the wireless recorder. Good features and sensitivity, and the ability to "Speak" through the Camera speaker and "Listen" using the Mobile Application. One Caveat though is that while they say "Up to 6months of Battery life" that must have been in an empty room with zero "Triggers" on the camera, since I have this configure to only trigger on "Human" and "Face" and with 10-12 Triggers per day, the batteries only last 2 weeks before needing a recharge. However, knowing that was likely, I also bought the wall charger that comes with a spare set of batteries so that you can just swap the dead ones with the fresh ones and put the others back on the charger for the next time.

I purchased 5 new Wide Angle view cameras for my Night Owl Pro DVR system. The stock cameras are nice, but with wider angle cameras, you can cover more viewing area with less cameras. Not only is the side to side angle increased, so is the top to bottom view. The resolution on these cameras is such an improvement over my previous 720dpi res. cameras, and the DVR recording option is far better than the memory card at the camera option. Which these cameras have as well. I would recommend the Night Owl DVR security system to anyone wanting a good security camera system.

Best part of the camera, it's simple. Nothing complicated to do other than putting the batteries in an mounting it where you want. The whole system was really easy to put together and make everything work. I suggest put all the cameras and base together on your tv hdmi connection and router your network is on.This way you can insure everything works, pairs, adjusts, records, and scare people who don't know you have it on and hidden. The only thing I don't like, it's not 4k like the ones with my NVR. Didn't think I would complain about HD camera resolution, but 4k is blow'n 1080p away. Once you get everything paired, and it all works doing the items like brightness, recording, activating by movement, points where it should, then wait a day before using the cameras in the location you've picked.. . You can install and run the app while the system is connected to the tv. And let it run for 24 hours, for a on test to see what happens to everything before mounting it. Once the app is installed, and the phone is going to be used for controlling the system, you will have to reboot the box, for it to have the phone as primary controller. I put my cameras on a 2-3' wide board 10-12 inches long. This lets you aim the camera when holding the phone and aiming the camera for the best coverage.. Leave the cameras in place an go look using the tv. I did this with one screw holding the board to temp mount it. after watching it for hours, 3 of the 4 were moved several feet. Don't forget the power supply can't be left out in the weather, so get a 12v power cord that can reach it and tape up the connections. Put all your cables under cover to stay dry, then use a power strip or 2-6 way plug adapter. It was harder to place the 4k cameras than the add on. It came several days later. Install the batterys, it turns on itself, install to system with app, make sure everything works and camera starts recording and adjusts like it should, then go find a place to put it. I painted mine a camo brown, then put outside were no one would notice high up to get coverage of yard and house. It's been a week, still over 70% battery using 4 of them. This system, a bluetooth NVR with 1 TB drive and 4 cameras @4k resolution is really simple to use. The add on cameral, with batteries is idiot proof. If they were 4k, and used batteries like the one I have, it could be a kickass super simple setup to use and move around where ever you wanted.

I bought the cameras as an add on to my already existing system. I expanded from 4 to 8 cameras. The instructions were simple to follow and the setup was very much "plug and play". The 8 camera system will give me that piece of mind while on vacation, as well as, fantastic monitoring capabilities from my phone. Great product and I highly recommend.

I can only sum it up as an AWESOME system. I still have 2 cameras to place but so far I could not be more pleased. It has all the features that I could ask for. Customer service techs are super when or if you have a problem understanding anything about using the system at all..

Ok. So I bought 2 of these cameras. I didn't want to pay a subscription fee. I bought two micro sd cards 128gb to use for storeage and recording. I like the fact i can take pictures and they get saved to my gallery on my cell also the manual recording also goes to my gallery on my cell . Sofar 6 months I've had these cameras and they seem to work good. Sometimes a little behind but that could be my cell cause I have 1gb wifi and it is high speed. I also like the features that come with this camera. Was quik and easy to set. Came with 2 batteries each. I bought 4 more batteries and a charger cause 2 batteries don't last but 3 weeks if you use these cameras everyday for recording. Also I bought the solar panels so i wouldn't have to charge the batteries so often getting ready to connect them 2day. We'll see how they work out. The picture is very clear whether it's a recorded video,picture,or live. Just can't seem to figure out why sometimes the cameras are a little behind but all in all good cameras for the price.

Added this camera to an existing wireless system. The mounting and adjustments on this one is lacking. But the quality of the camera and the wide angle overcome it's difficult mounting. Am able to capture two rooms with 1 camera. The Battery powered are great outside and this is a wonderful one indoors by the plug..

I have a NVR wireless system. When I bought this to add to my system I noticed at night the IR night vision is not working. Hoping to get this resolved with customer service. Email has been sent and awaiting reply. These are VERY good cameras when all the features are working. More update to come.

I should have bought a wired system. They are continually dropping the signal then coming back at random. I have the Night Owl DVR that came with 8 cameras. I bought these last two to complete the system. The picture quality is great. However, all 10 cameras drop the signal at random. This makes the "security" cameras not so secure. It is not a range problem. The one that drops the most is less than 15 feet from the DVR. As I am typing this 3 out of the 10 cameras are offline. The monitor says "no signal".
