Quickly became a headache.

I've owned this TV for about a year now, and have run into far too many issues than this TV is worth. First I'll start with the positives. Picture quality is great and I like the extra features it has. The V Gaming Engine with its Variable Refresh Rate is a great touch as well. Also the remote control works at a pretty decent range. Has a lot of streaming apps built-in as well. HOWEVER, this TV's firmware is so buggy and horrible to deal with, and I'm regularly encountering some kind of issue. I've checked if there were any firmware updates and there aren't any. Issue 1: The biggest issue I encounter is sometimes the TV just doesn't work. You press the power button, the backlight turns on but the screen stays black. I then have to unplug the television for 30 seconds and plug it back in to get it to work. This usually happens once a week. Issue 2: When switching to an input to play my Xbox, sometimes the sound doesn't work period, and I have to switch to either the Free TV or YouTube app, play a video so sound comes out the speakers, and then switch back to the Xbox input. This usually happens every 2 or 3 times I switch inputs. Issue 3: When connecting to smart home apps like Alexa or Google Home, the TV registers itself as 2 separate devices, one for audio streaming and the other for video. It should just register itself as a TV. Because of this I cannot use Google commands to turn the TV off. Issue 4: After turning on the TV, sometimes the volume does not work unless you reduce volume to zero, or mute and then unmute. Not huge, but still shouldn't happen. This happens almost every time I turn on the TV. Issue 5: You cannot use the feature that turns off the screen, but allows sound to keep playing, with a sleep timer. I tried this so I could play music before falling asleep. But using this feature negates the sleep timer, and every time I've tried this, I wake up and the screen is on. So basically once the timer hits zero, the screen turns back on and the TV stays on all night instead of turning off. Issue 6: Sometimes the Free TV app just doesn't work at all, initially it worked perfectly. This happens almost all the time now. Initally was a great TV at a decent price, and has quickly become a nuisance that sometimes give me more annoyance than actual entertainment. Consider either spending more or buying a different brand.

Great TV Choice for New Family Room

The Smartcast menu is easy to navigate, and we especially enjoy the variety of viewing choices available via the LIVE TV and FREE TV features. In fact, we dropped our cable service, which has saved us money as well as provided us with a greater tv streaming/programing experience. Thank you, VIZIO, for an affordable TV product that fits our budget and has provided our family with hours of entertainment options!

Loaded tv!

I love this tv. It is loaded with features and options for viewing. The only flaw so far is that Disney+ and Hulu are available apps, but not ESPN+. Since they can come as a bundle (which we have ), it would be nice to have all 3. The built in Apple and Chrome casting features are awesome.

Absolutely loving this picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately they don't make a 4K HDR tv in a smaller size so I can carry it by myself, I usually go with a 32” tv but this had a great price and I can still carry it by myself just takes two arms instead of one, my old vizo 32” still works great but the 4K+Hdr10 is amazing and absolutely is stunning with the ps5 of course you have to adjust the settings on the picture just to fit how you like it with your eye holes, just like sound is unique to everyone so is the way you see things and it has plenty of settings to make it fit just right for you. Love this tv if like me you need one you can move with out help, and need a great picture this is a good one not the best but definitely not the worst and vizio seems to last a good while too my 1080p 32” is still kicking and I bought that tv more than 12 years ago.

Nice TV Great picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this at the end of September so I can't say anything about the life of the tv. My last one was a Visio and I was very happy with it. It wasn't a smart tv but it lasted me several years. I love the smart features. It was a great bargain too.

Awesome Features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an older model 65" Vizio Smart TV that I purchased over 13 years ago. I thought it was great. However, I am blown away by the operation and features of my newest 65" Vizio Smart TV. The best part is that I only need the remote provided to operate the TV and the soundbar. I am extremely satisfied.

Nice picture! Easy setup.

I just bought this over the weekend. We are happy with it so far, but would have been nice to know it wouldn't run the Spectrum App, and sales person Told me it had Google capabilities. Nope it doesn't, So we are running it as a non smart TV, using our Roku ( glad I had one!).

Great picture, mediocre sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tv is great visually. The sound options are minimal and the sound quality is mediocre. There are not a ton of options as far as equalizer goes, the sound options for an outside sound bar is restrictive and the tv sound by itself isn't good enough not to have an outside sound source.

Great picture, small issue

I have had this tv now for roughly 90 days, one big issue I have with the tv. The reason I purchased this tv was for use with my karaoke machine, it only works with the red and white sound outs. The tv has to be force rebooted often just to get this to stay functional. After powering off the tv you have to go back into the settings every time to get the sound to start working again. My reviews not all bad as the picture is very good on this tv. Much clearer picture and better color than my much more expensive tv in our family room. I would probably purchase this tv again and would recommend for someone looking for a reasonably priced, good pictured television

I've owned at least 8 of this brand

Previous ownership satisfaction is the #1 reason I continue to purchase VIZIO. One in particular was on a covered dock for years without incident. Another over a large rock fireplace in a gazebo again without incident. Proven dependability to say the least. They have neccessary bells and whistles on the back for wanted "Add On" gizmos. Hey, they're good TVs.
